I had an excellent experience and had received a lot of great information about my vehicle from Pedro, the service manager. By going the extra mile, he even helped save me some money, which I really appreciate.

The worst ever

I’ve been going to Gmc for my repairs oil changes etc for as long as I’ve had my GMC and I’ve never experienced bad service until my recent visit to start as told my Suv was taken in for service but the bad experience was they never came out to tell me what was found until I asked was my Suv ready because it had been setting on the lot for awhile no one came in to said anything the receptionist had to go ask and they never came to explain the paper work soooooooooo disappointed and to make matters worst I have the extended warranty on my Suv and I was told my vehicle was covered like brand new bumper to bumper so I’m thinking everything thing was covered if I brought back my Suv after a week of having because of brake problems it would’ve been covered or brake light out it would’ve been replace all free of charge but I was told no not covered at the time I needed it to be covered I was leaving going out of town fir a funeral and because of non coverage I couldn’t use my vehicle that had never been on the highway BIG INCONVENIENCE not only dealing with the lost of a family member but not able to use my vehicle and at the last minute needing to make other arrangements Thanks to Keith for getting me in but the rest of the service I am soooooooo disappointed I don’t know if they ever look at my Suv or they just drove it around to the lot usually they do a car wash that wasn’t done either so an overall rating would be very low

monster dealerships

This place has a lot of cars that are super nice and clean on top of certified which is what I got a certified vehicle with a great warranty and had many choice since they have a monster selection of cars to pick from and they offered to show we the other dealership if I couldn't find a car I like I TOLD THEN YOU HAVE 200 LUS CARS HERE I THINK I WILL FIND ONE LOL thanks for the great almost brand new car with low miles and payment under 280

Unprofessional disrespectful dealership

Mike haggerty buick gmc in oak lawn is the worst dealership ever! Stay away from this dealership! I have never met such unprofessional people in my whole life . I have never experienced such disrespect from a dealership like this. Very unprofessional, disrespectful, worst dealership ever. Stay away from here. I came about 3 months ago to look for a specific car and they didn't have it. so they took down my information and said they would call me back when they have it available. So I get a call back saying that they have the car I'm looking for and they told me to come and check it out. so me and my wife took a 30 minute drive off work, only to find out that they don't have the car I want . it was only a scam to get me their and convince me to check out different cars ! When I went to talk to the manager about what happened he didn't even seam to care about wasting me and my wife's day at work!!! It's a very cheap way scamming people into looking at their cars !!!

Worst. Experience. Ever.

After finding the car we wanted on their website at what we thought was a great price we contacted someone to confirm the price, rebates, etc., and get an estimate for trade in value based on the VIN number of the vehicle. We were upfront and very clear about not wanting to waste our time as we were coming from an hour away. We were assured we were not and that the prices were valid. After arriving at the dealership we were told the person we had spoke with was not a sales person and had no authority to make deals, and were not allowed to see or speak to that person. We started speaking with an actual salesperson and after test driving the car, were brought back to his desk where we were presented with numbers significantly higher than the price show on the internet.....to the tune of about $4,000. After expressing our displeasure at being duped and having had our time wasted, we ended up going through the manger and the owner before walking out. All the while each of them continued their shady smoke and mirror practices trying to make us think we were getting a good deal. This place may be good if you're desperate to get a car, but if you're looking to get a good deal stay away. They'll do and say anything to get you in the door, and their slick, fast talking sales people will try everything to close a deal. Furthermore if you are still thinking about checking this place out after reading this review, make sure you watch your kidneys while you're there because you'll likely wake up to find yourself in an ice bath if you're not careful.

My 2010 Haggerty Buick LaCross

I have owned my 2010 Buick LaCross CXS for 2 weeks. So far the the check engine light has been on 4 times I called my sales person Dennis after the second time the light came on and he asked me to take it to their service department (which I had the hardest time getting through) by the time I got to the dealer the check engine light was off. The service department told me all the codes came back fine. I was told by Bill Haggerty that I could call onstar diagnostics when the light was on so the 3rd time the light came on I did and onstar ran a diagnostics and found the problem so onstar tried to do a 3 way call with the service department and the service department told Kerri the onstar representative that she could not take notes of the diagnostics findings and their was no tech available to speak with either. All she could do for us was make another appointment. I think this is going to be a never ending story because when I do make an appointment if the light is not on I am sure the service department is going to tell me everything is fine. I hate to think of what the future with this car will be? I think I will get rid of it as soon as possible 60 day buy back, consult with an attorney about lemon law something! At 2 weeks of owning this car I would think I would be spending my weekends enjoying it not at the dealer getting it fixed wouldn't you think!

Very poor customer service for brand new 2009 Buick Lucerne.

Within a week of purchasing a 2009 Buick Lucern, I had some minor problems with the car that turned into major frustration. Dennis the salesperson did not have time to address my problems bacause he was too busy trying to make his next sale. I had been preaching to all of my friends and relatives that we need to support the old American car dealers to that we won't lose more jobs and retired people won't lose their pension. I also wanted to help stimulate the economy. I hadn't had a car note in years. My old Chevy Monte Carlo was running fine but I didn't want to be bothered with the inevitable maintenence. So I decided to buy a new car. Big mistake buying it from Mike Haggerty. I had to take the car in several times for issues that should have been addressed before giving me the car. To make it even worse, when I bought the car back to be taken care, the salesman tried to ignore me. He was always too busy. I had problems with the tires, the tire monitoring system, the sunroof, and the interior being left very dirty after work was done on the car. I didn't know the back seat was dirty until I offered to take my friends for a ride to show off my "brand new car". They didn't want to get in because of all of the dirt and debris that the dealer left in the car. The loaner they gave me while they worked on my car was terrible. Nothing like the new car that I bought a few days prior. Boy do I wish GM was offer the 60 day return policy when I got my car a couple of months ago. I would have definetly returned it. Stay Tuned. The saga continues! Check out my issues with the service department! My engine overheated. There was not any antifreeze (coolant) in the car and they can't find out where it went. I suspect there was none in the car in the first place. I understand that things happen, even to new cars, but the service department at Mike Haggerty is just as bad as the sales department. Read about this problem when I rate the service department.

Avoid this dealership

If you want like being lied to, this is the place for you. I think these guys are physically incapable of telling the truth. I was sitting at another dealership with an offer in hand. I called Mike Haggerty and spoke with Chris, the used car manager, who told me that he had three cars with similar miles and that he told me they were having a big blow out sale and "absolutely can beat that price". I drove the 40 miles to Mike Haggerty Buick to see the three cars. Once I got there I was treated to a tour of one car after another with more miles (double) or damage or other problem, but none of the cars that they promised. When pushed they said the best car was "sold two days ago" and they simply "can't find" the other two. Desperate for a car for my daughter I asked about a car that they had advertised on the internet that had more mile than I was promised but still would have been OK. Their internet advertised price was $10,995. The head salesman offered to sell me the car for $11,500!!!. When I showed him the flyer for the car he said that he would sell the car for $10,700. After 3 hours of being lied to by the [violative content deleted] at Mike Haggerty I left and called about the original car that I turned down and found that the car had been sold in the interim. These guys cost me 3 hours, 80 miles of driving and a car.

Ha! Ha! Ha! This place is a cliché of all bad sales techniques

I went in to see what THIS dealer would do. They first had me make an appt, okay, and I played their game, 'cuz I wanted to see how far they would take it. To really understand this dealership... first read the article by Edmunds: Confessions of a Car Salesman, and BING, you have it- to the TEE! I would NOT buy a car here. Their closer was a [violative content deleted]. He obviously thought I was stupid, but I just played along and watched. [violative content deleted] he as not. Do people REALLY fall for this crap they give? Friendly dealership, TOO FRIENDLY. Everyone introduced themselves, to show "they cared", I guess. LOL Definitely not the type I would EVER trust. If I had to describe this dealership in one word it would be: Cliché!! We drove from the north end of Chicago to check out this dealer and it was one of the worst I had come across, no doubt. (We gave them a bogus address, of course, when they asked for our information. Just because they gave us a bogus reason for needing it.)

Excellent service Purchased '06 Lucerne - Best car I have ever owned. It is wonderful car; had good sales experience, from negotiating make, model, options and price. Best was the ongoing support, to include the service department. Really terrific - I would buy there again.
