Financial Disinformation

I was paying cash in two days but was deceived into putting in a loan and then could not pay it off while interest accumulated. Just wait they said eventually the bank would send the information. When I called back they wouldn't return my call.

Great experience

Car was ready for me when I came in to test drive! very Friendly attentive staff. My credit is building and Pugi was still able to put me in the car I wanted! Impala

I purchased an Impala a few weeks ago, during the test drive I noticed the vehicle shook a little at a certain speed. I asked them what that could be and they said "the car just needs to be driven more, it needs some love". No. The transmission started slipping. You would think a dealership could identify that when they test drive the vehicle themselves.

Wow. Is all I have to say about the Pugi team I worked with! after terrible experience with another VW dealer I decided to look online at Pugi. Paige ( online sales) coordinated everything for me before I walked in the door. Bill and Devon were awesome once I went into the dealership to negotiate the final deal and Otis was awesome in financing! Great team! Wonderful experience and I won’t ever step back into the other VW dealership that I previously bought and serviced all 3 cars in! Thank you Pugi!

I Leased a 2017 VW Passat SE and I love the car. I have bought/leased 10 cars and this car buying experience was by far the BEST I ever had. Pugi made sure I got the car I wanted at the price I needed. They even handled my lease car I turned in with a few months remaining. Amazing!!!!

Devon Brown is the best salesman we've EVER had!!

So much better than expected! Car was perfect, Devon Brown was exceptional. He was patient, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, accommodating, literally the exact opposite of the usual pushy and annoying car salesman. Devon made sure that we felt like priority #1! This guy is a credit to Pugi and to car salesman in general. It was a pleasure to buy from him! BUY YOUR NEXT CAR FROM THIS GUY!! We certainly will!!

Great Experience-Price-Vehicle

Initially I wanted to buy a vehicle locally, but wasn't finding the vehicle or the price that I needed. I saw a listing by Pugi that was exactly what I had hoped to find, but Pugi was an hour and a half drive. I took a chance and contacted them by email. I am glad I did. Ashley from the internet team was very prompt in finding answers to my many questions. With very little effort we were able to agree to a price online. When I arrived the vehicle had just been washed and cleaned and was ready for me to inspect. Rey (Reynaldo Torres) was ready to assist me, and he was very patient as we went over all the features of the vehicle and as he answered my questions. The paperwork process had a couple of hitches through no one's fault, but it did increase my wait time. Rey apologized for the wait and took the initiate to see that I was given a full tank of gas. I never felt any pressure, the people were professional, courteous, and informed, and the vehicle was as they advertised. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you Rey, Ashley, and others behind the scenes for making my experience with PUGI very positive. It was well worth the hour and a half drive!!

Great car buying experience at Pugi Volswagen

I was looking to purchase a 2016 Volkswagon Beetle Classic on Friday August 12th 2016. After not being able to negotiate the price I wanted at a dealership in Joliet Illinois, I headed over to Pugi Volkswagon in Downers Grove Illinois. At Pugi I was able to purchase a Beetle Classic for $200.00 dollars below my asking price, and I do my homework! Pugi's Sales Representative Lisa was knowledgeable and informative during the whole purchase experience and answered all of the many questions I had, staying past closing time to insure that I was educated on my new automobile purchase before I left for home with my new 2016 Volkswagon Bettle Classic. Thank you Pugi for a great price on the vehicle I wanted and thank you Lisa for making my purchase experience at Pugi the most enjoyable and informative experience I have ever had, and I have been purchasing automobiles since 1977. I will be back to purchase again from Pugi Volkswagon of Downers Grove and ask exclusively for Lisa to help me in my purchase. Donny J.

Worst Customer Service.

Not only was the day I got rid of my passat the best day ever for my wallet especially, but one less time I had to think about calling those [non-permissible content removed] service "advisors". VW is way overpriced to begin with and so the service they are providing you can tell just by the tones and quick responses that they dont [non-permissible content removed]. The two guys that work at the Downers grove VW suck. IDK how people like that have customer service jobs. Your attitude reflects your business and should be better to try and retain the customer. I can tell you the few times I had to deal with them I hated every second. Go to Ottawa for you VW. Way better service.

Horrible service!

My experience with the service department at this dealership was a nightmare. I came in to pick up a new key and floor mats. For some reason they took the car to the back to do this simple thing, and an hour later I got it back. The very second I opened the driver's door, I looked down and saw a tear in the leather of my front passenger seat. I immediately went back in to tell the girl who was helping me that there was a tear in my seat, where there was no tear before. She said she needed to tell her manager. She came back and said the manager said it didn't happen here and have a nice day. He never even came out to look at it. I was stunned. I drive my car everyday, my daughter was actually with me that day and was a passenger in my car. We would be the first ones to know if there is a tear in the leather front seat. I walked in to talk to the manager, Brian, and was confronted by the most unprofessional, rude service manager you can imagine. He basically called me a liar and said that there was no way I could prove that it happened at VW. To say I was angry is an understatement. He proceeded to come out to my car and look at the seat (after he had already made up his mind that he had no responsibility), and try to claim that the leather was worn out and tore on its own. This was a complete joke since the seat was obviously cut or torn, not worn out as he tried to claim. It was so frustrating to bring a car in for a simple key and floor mats, and end up with my front seat being vandalized and this dealership taking no responsibility. The girl even came back out to say that she talked to someone in service who said they saw the tear but "forgot" to note it. Whatever that means. Again, they are trying to say it was torn when I brought it in and that is an outright lie! They literally couldn't care less about the damage they caused to my leather seat and have no intention of fixing it. My husband and I have tried calling to talk to someone who might be more professional or interested in customer service, but no one from Pugi Volkswagon has bothered to contact us. I am disgusted with the business practices of this dealership. Beware of bringing your care here for service. I wouldn't let it out of your sight. I am not surprised by other reviews I've read where people have brought in their cars for one problem and ended up with another. You don't damage people's cars, and then tell them to "prove it". Stay away from this dealership and its horrible service department!

Great Office!

I recently went to many Chicago-area VWs in search of my ideal car, and Pugi was hands down the best. The staff was friendly and everything was very low pressure. It was a pleasant purchasing experience and I'd recommend anyone to just go here first and save yourself the time and effort.

So-so, I wanted to like them...

Initially Pugi had a small area for service and a waiting room upstairs that was somewhat depressing really. They updated the facilities and it's much nicer now. But I think they are now trying to make you pay for their update. My car had issues with the passenger side window and I had to pay to have it repair - although I had issues since I bought the car, lesson learnt, always have them document anything you mention to them. Then there was an issue with a blown fuse after the repair - not a biggy. But then the interior material started to peel away where the window seam was. Dealer said it was due to the sun. We examined the doors and realized the passenger panel didn't sit correctly like the drivers side so took it back. They agreed to look at it and they found the rail had come loose - because of the adhesive. They fixed and while they were at it, they glued the trim back down. Hopefully the "glue" will hold better this time!

Review of PUGI VX

We recently purchased a 2103 VX Passat from PUGI VW. It was a fantastic experience and I would urge anyone to consider PUGI for their next car They were very professional, courteous and a delight to work with. As this was my son'd first experience purchasing a car, I feel confident that he has now found a dealership whith whom he can jhave a long-term relationship with. I myself am considering a VW for my next car and will fo to PUGI. I can recommend themto anyone looking tp purchase a new or used automobi;le. And of course, there is the German's penchant for mechanical and electronic detail.

Watch the Finance

Great sales experience, great price. But, when it comes time to sign the papers there was high pressure to buy a warranty. I was told I did not qualify for the best (1.9%) rate, but if I purchased the warranty the dealer could use a special coupon to lower my interest rate. This was obviously a tactic and when I demanded my cash down payment back to walk away, they caved and gave me the low interest rate that I already qualified for. I don't like the idea of customers, especially younger buyers being lied to in order to sell a warranty. Shame

Good car purchase experience

My car buying experiece at Pugi was good. I visited several VW dealers during my test drive and car decision process. I felt the Pugi people were the most friendly and down to earth. The online quote Pugi sent, covered both of the requests I made. This sounds simple, but other dealers made the basic online quote with the wrong car model. Pugi got it right. My sales person Amad and the Sales Manager John were both straight forward and made it a good experience. I was happy with my Pugi experience and I am happy with my new VW.
