Hello...not exactly sure what numbers you want...so I'll post a few things and hope some of it will help you! I contacted 9 dealers, (southwestern Wi dealers); 6 responded. I got the email addresses from the Hyundai website, and was able to go direct to the Sales Managers that way. Invoice prices are AWD Limited $27,964 MSRP $29,800 DVD (or nav) 1628........... 1750 floor mats 96........... 120 mudguards 76........... 95 dest chg 695........... 695 Zimbrick had good inventory and he has more coming in April. Gentile in Racine as well as Arrow in West Allis appeared to have a good selection too (they just didn't have the deepwater blue/beige interior I wanted). give 'em a call!
good experience

Hello...we just purchased a new 2008 Santa Fe Limited AWD from a Madison Wi dealer (Zimbrick) ....they were outstanding to work with...very professional, honest, and went the extra mile for us. I used "Fighting Chance" information (Highly recommend checking them out) to go out for bid with several dealers. It was very interesting to see the pricing...we received quotes ranging from approximately $750 under invoice up to $200.00 under invoice, (all before the rebate) but the majority of them were all within $50.00 of each other, so I felt confident I was getting a fair price. My experience however showed that the lower priced dealers did not have the vehicle in stock....and one in particular wanted a credit card right away...first call, and they said they had a vehicle on the lot, when in fact, they did not. Ethics??? I went with a dealer in the 'middle' of the price pack, and am so very glad I did. I picked them because they had the color combo wanted; they offered us suggestions and ideas others did not; he gave me his best price the first time (and didn't try to underbid others just to get the business) and was very honest and upfront about the deal. I put a lot of value on integrity! They even drove us to an 'aftermarket' store and helped us pick out a product we wanted and then provided a loaner car while the new vehicle was getting this installed. Customer service and personality of employees are very important because 'value added' services are truly 'priceless'. I found you can get a pretty good feel about a dealership by calling them first and talking with the Sales Manager!
Bought a Sonata today - $14,998 + TTL
by b612markt on Tue Mar 18 20:36:12 PDT 2008
I'm a FIRST TIME car buyer - and I did a heck of a lot of research and it all really paid off today. Here's my experience. I spent about 4 weeks using email only to contact about 33 Hyundai dealers in IL, IN, MN and WI (I live in Chicago.) To keep the comparison shopping apples-to-apples I asked each dealer to provide their best price for a 2008 Sonata GLS Auto 4cylinder with Package 1 (no sunroof) and no demos. After I had 5 dealers with great prices (all under 16k) I started calling them one by one to get them to beat their competitors prices. After a week of this, I got a price of $14,998 for this exact car from O'Connor Hyundai in IL and Denny Hecker's Hyundai in MN. Sticker price was $20,195. $14,998 is $5197 less than that! The guy at O'Connor told me that this was the actual cost that the dealer pays for the car. Whether or not this is true - it was a heck of a deal! The closest dealers to me were Rogers Hyundai and O'Hare Hyundai, so I wanted to see if they could match that price. I went to Rogers Hyundai and drove a Sonata and the Salesman was extremely friendly, but the best they could do was $15,900. Sorry guys, I don't want to pay $902 extra! I called O'Hare and they agreed to the $14,998 price. I emailed the internet salesman to make sure I had everything in writing, and he responded in the affirmative. I drove out to the dealer this afternoon and another incredibly knowledgeable salesman showed my partner and I the three Sonatas they had in my configuration (08, 4cyl, GLS, pack1, auto, not a demo). Two were in colors we didn't like and they had one in black - our favorite! After the test drive, we went inside, I showed him the email from the internet salesman and he drew up the paperwork with the $14,998 price. Then we waited for an hour while the loan guy ran our credit and prepared the financing paperwork and we enjoyed their free coffee free wifi. The financing was blessedly painless. We were approved for the price of the car and we chose to put $2K down. We accepted Gap insurance (additional $595) but declined additional warranties (Wrap coverage is what they call it) and insurance that pays off the car if you die (morbid!). There was no pressure to accept the extra things ever. Doc fees were $150. The greatest thing was that they had real plates there at the dealership and they put them on then and there (no paper plates and coming back to the dealer in 3 weeks for the metal ones!) While we were signing all the paperwork, I opened up my MacBook, went to Progressive.com and resumed a saved insurance quote I had already configured the day before. All I had to do was add the VIN and the lenders name, and I clicked "Buy Now" and was insured instantly ($403 for 6 months). I clicked a few more buttons and 30 seconds later the Loan Officer's fax machine beeped as our proof of insurance came in. He was pretty stunned! After we finished all the financial paperwork we met back with the salesman who gave us our keys, operation manual, etc... He took us out to the car which had just been washed, had all the protective plastic removed and had a half tank of gas. He really took his time explaining all the features of the car. I thought it would be a waste of time, but there were a few I wasn't aware of like the multi featured trip computer, trunk lock/unlock interior switch and 60/40 seatback locks. We drove off happy with our new purchase and filled with feelings of good-will towards everyone at O'Hare Hyundai and Hyundai in general for making such an awesome car! :)
Hyundai Santa Fe SE FWD $24147 Drive out
by heyang on Sat Nov 10 20:05:49 PST 2007
Got a Hyundai Santa Fe SE FWD without any options. Color is Deepwater Blue. Price is $24147 drive out including 5.5% WI tax, doc and title. Because I do not want to pay any down payment, I did not take the $1500 cash rebate. If take it, I would have to pay interest rate 8.* % which I cannot accept. Thus, I took the $500 financial rebate only and have a 2.9% rate 48 months loan with no down payment. Based on that, the price the dealer offered to me is the invoice $23700 and $23200 after $500 financial rebate. I offered $22000 (after rebate) but it seems that it is far away from what they can accept. Finally, we reached at somewhere in between, $22650 before tax, title and doc. I got the car from Madison, WI west Zimbrick Hyundai. The dealer Mr. Han is a nice person and do not talk and push too much. But the manager who came out after I offered the $22000 price is rude and aggressive. I felt unhappy about him and chose to leave when he did not accept $22500. Mr. Han could take $22600 but the price on the contract had to be $22650 and he would personally pay me the $50 back. I know this is probably a typical dealer trick, but still appreciated his attitude and effort for selling the car to me. So I finally accepted the offer at $22650 and did not take the $50 when he gave it to me. The final price I paid is then $24147 drive out including 5.5% WI tax, doc and title. I also tested drive a Mitsubishi Outlander LS AWD last weekend. The dealer could offer me $23500 drive out with a %1.9 rate of 48 months loan, which, I believe, is a very good price. But the interior of Outlander is kind of cheap and so I decided to test drive a Santa Fe first. I feel Santa Fe is all the way better than Outlander although the AWD model is about 2k more expensive than Outlander. So finally I choose Santa Fe FWD because there are not many AWD left. Hope my experience will help. Thanks

2008 HYUNDAI ELANTRA WI PREFFERED EQUIPMENT PACKAGE QUICK SILVER / GRAY INTERIOR MSRP $17,975.00 (our price)$15,499 A/R + TT&L MUST FINANCE THRU HMFC Backy - This seems like a fantastic deal considering I was all set to haggle to get the price down to $16.5K but with just a couple of phone calls, the price is already at $15.5K. Not sure I understand anymore what a good deal is vs what a standard price for the car is at the moment. For the financing thru the HMFC part, can I say yes, pay 1 installment and then just pay the loan off? I read about a guy doing that but was wondering if others have done it as well w/o any financial penalties.
07 Elantra GLS for $16,780???
by sammy2007 on Mon Sep 24 20:11:35 PDT 2007
I am begging for the information about the price of this car. I'm in Madison, WI and I received the quote that 07 Elantra (red) GLS is 16,780 which is including destination charged ($595) and detailed service fee ($120). So, the final price $15,252 after the rebate. It is not OTD, though. Since I was communicating on the phone and email, that is the only information I know. I was surprised by this price which is a lot more than I expected. May be it is because of the package. When I asked to the dealer, she said that it has a air conditiong and CD player. But, still isn't is too much? If the sales tax and titling fee are added, OTD will be increased a lot. I read many postings that people buy this model under OTD of 15,000. Would you guys please give me information????
