Hyundai Santa Fe SE FWD $24147 Drive out
by heyang on Sat Nov 10 20:05:49 PST 2007
Got a Hyundai Santa Fe SE FWD without any options. Color is Deepwater Blue. Price is $24147 drive out including 5.5% WI tax, doc and title. Because I do not want to pay any down payment, I did not take the $1500 cash rebate. If take it, I would have to pay interest rate 8.* % which I cannot accept. Thus, I took the $500 financial rebate only and have a 2.9% rate 48 months loan with no down payment. Based on that, the price the dealer offered to me is the invoice $23700 and $23200 after $500 financial rebate. I offered $22000 (after rebate) but it seems that it is far away from what they can accept. Finally, we reached at somewhere in between, $22650 before tax, title and doc. I got the car from Madison, WI west Zimbrick Hyundai. The dealer Mr. Han is a nice person and do not talk and push too much. But the manager who came out after I offered the $22000 price is rude and aggressive. I felt unhappy about him and chose to leave when he did not accept $22500. Mr. Han could take $22600 but the price on the contract had to be $22650 and he would personally pay me the $50 back. I know this is probably a typical dealer trick, but still appreciated his attitude and effort for selling the car to me. So I finally accepted the offer at $22650 and did not take the $50 when he gave it to me. The final price I paid is then $24147 drive out including 5.5% WI tax, doc and title. I also tested drive a Mitsubishi Outlander LS AWD last weekend. The dealer could offer me $23500 drive out with a %1.9 rate of 48 months loan, which, I believe, is a very good price. But the interior of Outlander is kind of cheap and so I decided to test drive a Santa Fe first. I feel Santa Fe is all the way better than Outlander although the AWD model is about 2k more expensive than Outlander. So finally I choose Santa Fe FWD because there are not many AWD left. Hope my experience will help. Thanks
07 Elantra GLS for $16,780???
by sammy2007 on Mon Sep 24 20:11:35 PDT 2007
I am begging for the information about the price of this car. I'm in Madison, WI and I received the quote that 07 Elantra (red) GLS is 16,780 which is including destination charged ($595) and detailed service fee ($120). So, the final price $15,252 after the rebate. It is not OTD, though. Since I was communicating on the phone and email, that is the only information I know. I was surprised by this price which is a lot more than I expected. May be it is because of the package. When I asked to the dealer, she said that it has a air conditiong and CD player. But, still isn't is too much? If the sales tax and titling fee are added, OTD will be increased a lot. I read many postings that people buy this model under OTD of 15,000. Would you guys please give me information????
