I hear you, DC Metro. I live in Northern VA as well (Falls Church), and was not very impressed with the selection other than Fitzgerald. Alexandria was small and I had the strangest experience there. Normally when you take a car for a test drive, the salesman is all over you afterwards to buy. After I test drove the Santa Fe, they basically asked whether I liked the car and then that was it! And it wasn't busy there either when I went in. That said, I thought they were pretty good (despite the showroom) and almost bought there (since it is more convenient than Fitzgerald), but they didn't have the car I wanted in stock. You may have had the same salesman as I did at Alexandria, as they told me that the Santa Fe would no longer offer the third row option. I mentioned it here on the board, and rumor has been dispelled (i.e., it will be offered in 2008). Lastly, you make a valid point about auto climate controls - that was one of the reasons I didn't buy a Veracruz (since it made such a big jump in price). It actually reflects one of the genuine criticisms I have seen about Hyundai, namely, you have to take all upgrades in packages (e.g., you cannot just get an upgraded stereo - it has to come as part of a package). Thanks for the tip about Easterns. I was actually going to call them today for a price quote. I had asked for a quote by e-mail and specifically asked not to be called or sent a message that did not include a price, and they were the only dealership that did not respect this request (they have called twice so far). I was a bit disappointed with some of the other quotes I got, so I thought of calling them despite my initial qualms. These two messages have decided it - I ain't calling them! Btw, Raigan - where did you buy? I am in Falls Church, VA, and would be interested if you bought in area. Chris
