Tulsa, OK Hyundai Car Consumer Discussions

Veracruz GLS purchase: by kvd on Thu Oct 30 17:21:34 PDT 2008; I just purchased a GLS With just floor mats and first aid. MSRP 27,770. The dealer had add on of 895.00 for market ajustment(nice try) and 395.00 Scotch Guard. (Again nice try.) I told the salesperson he was looking at the wrong sticker. I hope no one out there falls for these---- Anyway I paid $22,000.00. This included dealer processing fee' but did not include tag-tax-title. This was in the Tulsa, OK area. Saw one in the DFW area in the internet for 21,770 - they have a $50.00 document fee. This seems to be about the bottom. I hit a couple dealers (including the one I bought this from with 21,500.00 and did not have any takers.

CarsDirect offers great prices and no hassles from the dealer. Give it a try. If you are having trouble with your local dealers and Fitzmalls are just too far away then get a quote from CarsDirect. They are very easy to work with. It might surprise you and if nothing else help you in getting the deal you want from the dealer closest to your home! It sure worked for me in Georgia! Good Luck!

Re: Central OK [jdalton27]: by michieroo on Sat Mar 25 12:39:42 PST 2006; I'm in Tulsa and have been looking at the Sonata GLS V6 with no options. I've only been to the Hyundai dealership here and I would not wish that experience on anyone. I've talked with the Automax and Edmond Hyundai and neither were willing/able to come even close to Fitzmall. Same story with B'ville and Kent Dobbs (Springdale, AK), but they were at least willing to try to earn my business. I'm still talking to Vandergriff in Arlington, but if that doesn't pan out, I'm going with Fitzmall and shipping and still saving money. Hope this helps.

Market Adjustment: by bgle on Thu Oct 27 19:35:11 PDT 2005; On a trip from SC to Tulsa OK a three weeks ago, a few 06 Sonata's passed us and my wife & I liked the looks so while in Tulsa I visited the dealer. All their Sonata's had an add on of $ 1,500.00 for "Market Adjustment. On my return to Columbia, SC I visited the local dealer and there it is again. This time it was $2,000.00 Market adjustment, plus paint treatment, fabric treatment, Window tint and Wheel locks (just under $1,000.00). First I will never pay a "Market Adjustment" and you are now in the Cam/Cord price range with similar equipment. This was really a turn off. Has anyone run into this "Market Adjustment"? Thanks
