Buying a car from a Hyundai Car Dealer
My OTD price included everything, but from NJ, you might have a slightly different set of fees; however, the internet salesman at West Broad was pretty straightforward; he supplied me with EXACTLY the correct amount (well, within a penny or two, literally) based on Virginia laws for the OTD price. For me, it was out the door at 16,357.40. You're being quoted about $130 less... so you would have a slightly lower tax, too, maybe all told $140 roughly... but your tags/title for NJ may be higher than Virginia's. And you may have to pay a purchase tax for NJ (some states do that for cars purchased out of state and then original titled in the them); I'm not sure if NJ is one of them. Good luck, and post your experiences on here!
I agree with you Sal on several points. I think you and I are pretty much looking for the same car. I want the Ebony Black LTD Sonata with the 08 option pkg. But I'm looking for the beige interior. I'm trying to get pricing now from Towne in NJ and Atlantic Hyundai in West Islip, NY. I'm not at all concerned about the $1,500 rebate ending tomorrow. If it does it does. I've been looking around and as nice as the Sonata looks most of the cars I pass on I95 or in NYC are from Toyota or Honda. Ideally the Sonata s/b jumping off the shelf but if incentives are need to get the public to buy then the Salespeople s/b all over it and stop playing games.
