Matching factory rebate until 7/22/08

My shopping of a new Sonata or Azera is put on hold due to family & business issues. Yesterday I received an email from Lester Glenn Hyundai (Toms River, NJ) inviting me to take advantage of their promotion: matching factory rebate of any new car. For example, the 2009 Sonata has $2000 factory rebate. They would either mail you a check of $2000 after you buy the car or allow you to use the $2000 to buy the car. In this case, the savings would be $4000. In the case of a Santa Fe the matching is $3500 for a total of $7000. Plus, they offer free oil change for life. The email does not mention any other incentive, e.g. $$$$$ below invoice, etc. Good luck, folks.
Looking for a good deal in central NJ

I am new to this forum and have never sat in or test-drove a Hyundai in my life. Bacause the rising car and gas price I am stepping down to a smaller engine size and less expensive car. I think either the 2008 or 2009 Sonata Limited with L4 engine would suit my needs. Having navigation and moon roof is not important, but having adequate legroom in the back, safe, reliable and sturdy, good quality and fuel economy, and at a reasonable price are my concerns. I used the Costco car buying service and received a couple of calls from two dealerships. They all invited me to take a test drive first. When I said I am too far away(one is in Toms River and the other on Rt 22) and would like to know the price first (just standard equipment with no options for the time being) they all declined to give me any quote. They said the company policy would not allow them to give price quote over the phone. I read on this forum that the Stateline Hyundai dealership in Phillipsburg NJ offered $1900 below invoice with a $100 gas card for any favor. This plus a $1500 rebate for the 2009 cars sounds very attractive to me. For the 2008 leftovers the deal could be even sweeter: $2300 below invoice plus $3000 rebate and $100 gas card. My question to all of you is: would you please help me in locating a dealership in my area (central NJ) that would offer similar deals, because Phillipsburg is too far away (2 hours driving one way?) even though it is in NJ. Anybody bought a new car recently in central NJ? I can buy the car at the end of the month, next month, or later because I just returned a leased car earlier this month. I have 3 other cars now and I am not in a great hurry to buy one either. Would like to know when is the better time to get a good deal. Thanks in advance for your help.

Lester Glenn in Toms River NJ. Deal was done totally be email and phone. Walked in on Tuesday night at 7:45 pm, they had all the paperwork ready for us to sign and we drove away with our new Santa Fe by 8:20pm. Best car buying experience ever.

Was dealing with 3 dealers in central NJ for an 07 GLS fwd. Best price I got was from Glen Lester in Toms River (it may be Lester Glen), $26430 OTD. The internet sales person was very easy to deal with, and I thought I would probably go with that car and price. Brad Benson in E Brunswick, seemed to have a low price but could not get anywhere with the internet sales mgr, just wanted me to come in, which I didnt. Circle in Red Bank wanted 27900 OTD for the 2007 GLS FWD, too high. Stopped at Sansones Rt 1 Automall in Woodbridge on the way to work one day, just to get a price before I went with Lester Glen. I was specific about what I wanted, they didnt have it, but they had an 07 SE in the same color. I pretty much told them I wasnt interested in anything they had, I told them I was ready to make a deal with another dealer, just wanted to check their stock and prices, and was ready to leave. They threw a price out of $26500 OTD on the SE, only $70 more than the price on the GLS so I took it. I think you can get good prices with Sansone, but you must know what you want or they will play games with you. After I agreed with the deal, they seemed disappointed that I already had financing in place, so I would not talk financing with them before you stike a deal. I am confident they thought they would make some $$$ on financing me. Too bad. Someone above said they liked Cap One auto finance. Just want to let everyone know, I went through Lending Tree. Cap One and Road Loans sent me a check right away. Chase auto finace called to go over the details, when I told the their rate was higher than Cap One, thet beat it by 1.75% on a 72 month loan and that was without autodraft for the payments, which Cap One requires. I think you get better rates through Lending Tree than going directly to loan sites like Cap One.

It's Elantra GLS 4 door sedan. Lester Glen, in Toms River, NJ also gave the ditto quote - 13881 after rebates and discounts + state fees and sales tax. ?

even tho we never bought a car from there, we think Lester Glen Hyundai in Toms River is o.k. Friends have bought cars from High Point Hyundai in Sussex and seemed pleased. We bought all our hyundais from Lehigh Valley Hyundai in Emmaus, PA. they are excellant especially their service.
