2 different dealers in NJ: (rte. 22) Elantra SE - in color I want - $16345 OTD (Jersey City) Elantra SE - in pretty gray - $16300 OTD and he will include a remote starter. Both include the 4 year vehicle registration which apparently is now required in NJ. They are both really nice dealers.

If your willing to travel a little in South Jersey, try the Hyundai dealership in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, on the Black Horse Pike (route 322/40) heading toward Atlantic City. It's about 30 miles east of Williamstown and is called Sport Hyundai/Dodge. They were dealing last week. They are giving $1,000 mfg. off, $750 additional off if you finance through Hyunda and another $500 off if you own a Hyundai. I did a deal but now I am waiting for them to find me the color that I want. They had 40 to 50 2007 Santa Fe's on their lot. I was going to buy a new Toyota crossover but not after seeing, test driving and reading what Consumer Reports has written about the new Santa Fe.

I was living in Jersey City when I bought my 05 GT hatchback (auto, sunroof). I got it actually at Hyundai of Manhattan. $13,300 plus ttl. I think it was a fluke. The guy who sold it to me was fired that same week. But they were quite easy to deal with in hindsight.
Buying a 2004 Elantra GT Sedan
by cgr45 on Wed May 19 13:46:02 PDT 2004
Hello everyone. My girlfriend is in the market for a new car. After much research and test driving a few cars she decided to buy an 04 GT Sedan with moonroof, ABS and TCS. She loves everything about the car. She says that it's "cute." Anyways, my question is how much should she pay for this car? The TMV for the car is $14,440. With taxes and registartion we should be looking at about $15,500. Is this a good price or should she offer something along the lines $14,000? She's paying cash for the car. I don't know if this will be an advantage for her. We live in jersey City, NJ and the dealer that we visted is Difeo Hyundai. Does anyone have any experiences dealing with this dealer? Any recommendations to other dealers? Thank you for your time and help.
2002 Sonata GLS Ebony Black - New Jersey

Just signed the deal last night for this car at Burns Hyundai in Marlton, NJ. Invoice was base + destination + advertising + floormats + mudguards + cargo net = $16954. Ended up paying $17100 for which dealer also will add pinstripes, doorguards, and 1st, 3rd, 6th, etc free oil changes. Total out the door with tax, title, registration, and paperwork = $18395. The only bad thing is that I have to wait for it to come in. I've got the VIN, so hopefully that means it's on its way. I'll write my review in the other forum once I've gotten it and driven it. I drove the 4 cylinder base model Sonata a week ago. I can figure how the GLS with 16" tires and a V-6 will be different. Dealers seem to have some base models, but not GLSs. The GLSs seem to be going quick. From the start Burns said it was invoice + $200. Turnersville Hyundai was up front and said invoice + $199. Hyundai City (Burlington, NJ) really annoyed me. I called up and talked to a sales rep. I said I was interested in the GlS. She asks, "Do you want the V-6 with that?" Later I ask if they do anything extra like pinstipes. She puts me on hold for a full minute. She comes back and tells me, "It has the woodgrain trim." The next day I talked to the sales manager who justified it by saying she's just trying to get you to come in so you can see how great our deals are. Anyway Burns is local and they didn't annoy me. What good would free oil changes be if the dealer isn't conveniently located. -dadscar
