Just bought my Azzy

Well, after reading many posts on this site for the past six months, I finally pulled the trigger. I just took delivery of my new '07 Limited w/Ultimate 25 package. I took the advice of many of you that suggested that I deal through the internet sales manager and I believe that I worked the system well. The MSRP was $31,190 and I paid $24,877 after rebates ($1000 regular and $1000 loyalty) as we have another Hyundai in the family garage. On top of the $24,877 was a document fee of $58, an electronic tag and title fee of $168 and $1752 sales tax for an out the door price of $26,856. I ended up buying from Patrick Dranias at Gartner Hyundai in Aurora,IL (Chicagoland) who pledged to match any other written offer and he was certainly true to his words. I utilized the Hyundai corporate site at Hyundaiusa.com and after configuring the vehicle, then requested quotes from five area dealers, which took all of twenty minutes in total. Gregory was the cheapest and Darcy was the highest by over $700 while Patrick, Ettleson and Gartner were $200 over Gregory which Gartner offered to match. With Gartner being the closest to my house and having had good experience with their service department in the past, this was a no brainer. The car was prepared properly when I picked it up with the lock/unlock and immobilizer code set as per my request. Now the fun begins driving it! I hope this helps someone else as much as the other posts have helped me. Regards, Stcroixboy

Tuggers, You mentioned you used an Ohio dealer at checkbook.org. I currently see one from New York listed (at $100 over cost). Did you end up going with the one in Ohio? Which dealer was it? Thanks for the info!

That's why after the emails I ask them to fax me a signed quote that only requires my signature to make the deal. Then I take that into the dealership with me. I've had the 'I made a mistake' story, too. Glad you got your deal, almost, and got your car closer to home! I think I'm going to go with the Ohio dealership on the 'checkbook' site that sells the 10/100,000 -0- deductible for $759. My local guy would not come off the $1200 figure.

I have been shopping for Santa fe Limited + Premium package+ 3rd row seat for last three weeks. I got a very good quote of 24010+TTL from Elgin Hyundai over the internet. I immediately went there to grab it but the manager refused to give it at that price saying there might have some miscommunication about the options.. even though every email we exchanged had the options I wanted listed specifically. I was very disappointed for the 3 hrs we wasted. The sales guy replied later that he miswrote the email he first sent to me and kept apolozising.. Anyways.. Finally I went to Gartner Hyundai in Aurora which is closer to my home and got it for 24800 +TTL. The initial quote he gave me was 24999. So, he came down only 200 but I knew it was a good price.. so I didn't haggle much.. Here is my package Santa fe 2007 2WD Limited + Premium package + 3rd row =24800 Paint, rust, leather , Spill protection = 599$ 10 yr/ 100,000 extended bumper to bumper warranty = 975$ + Taxes and Title OTD price was 28,300 Overall experience at gartner Hyundai was very very good

I don't know how prices differ between upstate NY and Chicago but I think that you should be able to get a SF Limited AWD w/Ultimate for $27650 after all rebate adjustments. I paid $25240 for a limited AWD w/Premium in May with mats & cargo tray. Gartner Hyundai in Aurora IL. If you can wait a month or two they should go lower with new models coming out and the lots are full of SFs.

Living in the Chicagoland area, I purchased mine at Gartner Buick / Hyundai in Aurora, IL. Per their website, they have 15 Limited still in stock.
