Can't say much about Family Hyundai, but I bought from Pugi in Downers Grove and I an very happy with my experience.
2007 Tucson GLS w/Premium Package

We currently own a 2006 Elantra GLS, and my wife wants a small SUV. We'll keep the Elantra, but we've been looking at the Tucson GLS FWD Automatic. Here's the quote we just received from Pugi Hyundai in Downers Grove, IL (the same place we purchased our Elantra in December 2005): 2007 Hyundai Tucson FWD Automatic, Platinum Color with Premium Package: $17,252 This, of course, does not include TTL, but includes the current incentives. I planned to pay cash, but if I finance it through Hyundai Financial, the price drops to $16,752. Any comments on the price? Thanks.

The OTD price for my 2007 Santa Fe Limited with sunroof and XM radio was $27,000. I also purchased the Ding/Dent package the dealer offered to repair any dings in it for 5 years and got it at the 3yr coverage price--it covers any dings on the sides and rear--$399. My dealer is Kenny Kent in Evansville,IN--my SF came from Pugi in Downers Grove, IL where the dealer insisted that the traded vehicles be transported by truck, therefore mine arrived with only 2 miles on it! I also got carpeted floor mats and a rubber cargo tray at no cost--sticker says they would have run me $185, but our price had already been negotiated. I still think I got a good deal, even if I am a girl:)) ;)

sligg - sri, I've been out of town celebrating our second Thanksgiving meal with the family! Yes, the quote is from Pugi in Downers Grove, IL. The only add on above the figure is tax, title, and license fees. I bought a 2006 Elantra from them on Christmas Eve last year, and plan to do the same thing with th 2007 Sonata Limited this year. I don't live in Downers Grove, rather in Champaign-Urbana, home of the University of Illinois, about 145 miles south. Great dealer, and no "mickey mouse stuff," just good prices and probably the best delivery experience of any new car I've ever purchased. Take a one-way flight to O'Hare or Chicago Midway out of LGA, EWR, or JFK, and drive your new car home! They would probably pick you up at the airport. Good folks . . .

I would suggest you schedule a one-way flight to Chicago O'Hare (ORD) from either LGA or EWR, and buy from Pugi Hyundai/Mazda/VW in Downers Grove, IL. You will pay substantially less than your NJ and NY dealers. Remember, the warranty is a Hyundai corporate warranty, and must be honored at any authorized Hyundai dealer. I was recently quoted less than $19K for a 2007 Sonata Limited from Pugi. That's where I bought a 2006 Elantra GLS sedan last December ($13,700 OTD) , and they are really great people. No BS, no extraneous fees, and they list every line item amount in plain English - plus dealer Doc fee is only $25. Go to their website - do a Google search - and, e-mail their internet sales department. It will be well worth your time.

The price I was quoted on 9/22/06 for a 2007 Sonata Limited in Steel Gray without the Ulimate Package (i.e. no options) was $20,465, less the $1,500 rebate and less the Loyalty rebate (since I'm an existing Hyundai owner) of $500 for a total before TTL of $18,465. This is from their internet sales department. Due to Edmunds.com rules, I can't give you the salesman's name. The dealer is Pugi Hyundai/Mazda/VW in Downers Grove, IL. I had an absolutely wonderful experience buying our 2006 Elantra GLS sedan from them in December 2005 as a Christmas present for my wife, and I plan to return to buy a Sonata Limited from them before the end of the year. Simply put, they're good people, and treated me very well. Do a web search for Pugi Hyundai, and send them an e-mail and ask for a quote.
