2009 Sonata Limited V6

Purchased in New Hampshire: Pearl White, 2009 Limited V6, $22700 including doc. fee. Buying process was easy. Only pain was to wait couple of days for the delivery as dealer did not have any Pearl White in stock. The dealer; Nashua Hyundai was very nice and treated us very well. They gave us a loaner for two days while we waited for the car to arrive. There were better offers but not by much. We decided to go local as they treated us well. The car is really nice. The interior is well designed and V6 is definitely worth it. I am on my first tank of gas and on highway at 65mph, I see 31mpg.
Re: Elantra Pricing [backy]

Not sure about value for money factor but fun to drive factor Mazda 3 wins anytime against any of sedans in its price range. I had Mazda 3 and moved to Elantra. First thing I noticed was Elantra's body roll. For some reason when you turn it feels like drving boat. Compared to that even my Honda Odyssey gives better handling. Mazda 3 was more fun to drive for me and I did drive it in couple of northeast snow storms without single problem. On the other hand I do like the bit better fuel economy with gas prices heading north.

Hello Busmaster44....it sounds to me like you did just fine. Some of us, and I am one, tend to beat ourselves up because we believe that we might not have gotten the best deal possible when buying a new car. I bought a VC ltd Dec 31 2007. It was reduced to 28,995. I believe that it was a fair price...maybe not the lowest....but I also expect good service from the dealer and I want them to give me the best service.. Over the life of the car $1 or $2k won't make that much difference. I just drove mine to Boise Idaho and returned to San Diego. These are beautiful cars and I am sure you will enjoy yours....only problem I found was gas mileage at 22 mpg ( which is what is advertised ) and the headlamps need adjustment...they light up the tops of trees when on bright....enjoy your new car and congratulations!
08 Elantra

OK I have been reading this thread with some interest. We are buying a third car because my wife can't park the truck at work with the narrow parking lanes and I now need the car because I travel alot and gas is going up. So the Elantra seems like an nice compact with a mid-size interior. Everyone is across the board with pricing. Tell me how this sounds. 2008 LE with 5-speed and the Premium Pkg. with sunroof. Sticker $ 18,265 (they had there added crap with and additional $1k, regional pricing, clean up misc. stuff and made them remove off the price sheet before we even started) I offered 15k and they countered with $15,677 (they say this is invoice) This included 2K rebate. I will need to add 5% sales and about $ 105 in fees. After seeing some posts it looks like there maybe some better deals out there. No trade and is a cash deal. Anybody know a good dealer in Southwestern PA?
2007 Bought on E-Bay
by ymmot11 on Fri Apr 25 12:01:57 PDT 2008
In August of 2007 I flew from Boston to Columbus Ohio where I was met at the airport by my new car, and the man who had the title. I met his family, his newer "larger" SUV, then pulled out some plates. Minutes later I was cruisin, sunroof open, in my new ride on a 800 mile trip back to beantown! After 7 months of online SF shopping, and an occasional parking lot tour, I decided on exactly what I wanted, and how much I would pay. 2007 3.3 Liter AWD Limited Pearl White with Black Leather, a sunroof, and with only a few miles. I watched many dealer auctions end with bidders around 25K, and 27K. Then finally I saw the auction I knew was going to be mine. In the end it cost $22,500, $1100 in state taxes, and $500 in air fair, hotel and gas. All in $24,100, but I had the exact car I wanted and for a great price. The guy who sold it was an awesome guy who still owed $29,400 when he sold it! He just needed a larger SUV, and a dealership trade in would have only meant 19K. I have put about 20 thousand miles on it, and I don't have any complaints. The seller and I still stay in contact!
Towne Hyundai Denville NJ

I know this dealer is mentioned frequently. Their pricing works as advertised. We drove two hours from PA to pick up our car. The buying process was straight forward. While completing the paperwork my salesman (he must be sean to be believed) found a $50 error in my favor from his telephone quote. My only quibble is that they charge to etch the windows of every vehicle. The utility and value of which is in the eye of the beholder. Towne handled the out-of-state registration and sales tax. I left with a full tank of gas and as a very happy customer.
