Put a down payment on this car in Charcol Gray today for a price of $14,570...basically Edmunds TMV price. This includes the $1k rebate. Tried all over the state and even Fitzmall in Clearwater couldn't locate a car with the power package that we needed. Found two of these in Miami and would've given us both for $14.3 each, but my older girl didn't want the Accent. They started at $14.8 and we at $14.3 for just one of the cars and met in the middle. Pick up the car during the week after I check it out to see all is right. Been a long few months on test drives and such but we got the car for a price we can live with and just a couple of weeks before our target date whcih was between Thanksgiving and the 14th of November. Kid's happy and we're o k with the deal. The Sandman :)

Nhphd: LOL! I like your style! The last one though is down in Miami about 350 miles from here. I guess maybe to save a $1K it MIGHT be worth it but I will probably remain in the local area if I can get at least $1k under invoice. It is interesting to see the different philosophies of the sales managers. Some really want to push numbers of cars sold, where others push for a higher profit per car sold. Thanks again! Joe

Van: I am up in Jax so I am trying to keep around here if at all possible. (The Miami call was really just for the heck of it). I have tried in Orlando, Daytona, Ocala but mostly got the "why don't you come in and see what we can do" dance. I did not try Fitzmall because it is down in Tampa mostly, but I did look at some of the numbers people posted and I did not think they were all that great from what I could tell. Although with rebates, processing fees, taxes etc. sometimes it is hard to discern what people actually paid. That's why I try to speak in terms of invoice (which includes destination charge) and where in relation to it I paid. PRIOR to any rebates. Joe
TRYING TO BUY SONATA LIMITED W/ NAVI
by stockmanjoe on Fri Sep 12 17:55:01 PDT 2008
Hello All: Just started to get serious about buying a 2009 Sonata Limited I4 with NAVI for about $2K under invoice. I am in Jacksonville, FL my experinece so far 1) Key Hyundai: called on phone very nice sale guy but he said there is no way to buy it for less than $200 ABOVE invoice - didn't even bother to get me in. 2) Orange Park Hyundai (where I bought my last one) got very indignant with me, said sales manager will call me back - he hasn't. 3) North Florida Hyundai said possibly $1200 to maybe $1500 below invoice, but did not have the color I want. I need to follow up with them. 4) St Augustine Hyundai said no more than $1,000 below invoice was possible. 5) Also contacted Doral Hyundai way down in Miami and they said they were happy to do $2,000 below invoice but it would have to be a car on their lot (no dealer trade). All these places have processing fees any where from 300 to 600 dollars. I usually get roped into buying at invoice but I am determined to do better this time! I'll let everyone know how it works out.

Can anyone share their experience with the purchase of a limited in South Florida? Are dealers willing to go under invoice? If so how much. Appreciate the information.
08 RED Azera Ltd.

Just picked up my 08 red Azera ltd w/ ultimate package , with mats, and stripping. OTD $27,900 no hassles no problems. I researched pricing online and called every Hyundai dealer in a 75 mile radius. I ended up using an online qoute from a dealer in Tampa, i live in South Miami. I found a dealer in Coconut Creek FL. about 50 miles away to beat the price by $100. I set up the whole thing over the phone with a salesman i did not meet until today. He had taken delivery of the car the day before i talked to him. I liked the price ,and it saved me a ton of gas and hassle then going to Tampa. I gave him $1,000 on my credit card over the phone to hold the car for me. After the credit card went through, he gave the vin# and odom reading right there. I set up financing through my personal bank, and sold my car privately this friday. I went to the dealer today, met my salesman. When i got there my car was detailed and ready to go. He handed me my keys told me to check it out while he got a dealer tag for me to test drivr the car. When i got back from the test drive all the paper work was ready to be signed. Very proffessional , no Hassle , No sales gimmecks or tricks. I signed the papers, handed him two checks, on from the bank and a personel check for the down payment. Got my paperwork and left. In all about a total of 1.5 hours in the dealership. LOVE my AZERA and have nothing bad to say About Coconut Creek Auto Mall.
