No apology necessary, Jeff! All's cool. :shades: BTW, what part of the country are you in? I ask because there's a Lithia Chrysler / Dodge / Jeep dealership directly across the street from our local Hyundai dealership (Santa Rosa, CA). I was very close to buying a Grand Cherokee Limited from them before ultimately going with my Santa Fe. They seemed pretty cool when I was talking to them. Of course with Lithia being the HUGE organization that they are, there's bound to be good and bad dealerships within their company. - Mike

My understanding is that when Fitzmall says "freight included" they're referring to the destination charge shown on the factory window sticker. They point out "freight included" because it's not uncommon for dealers to publish sale prices that do not include destination. With Fitzmall, you can go to the dealership and actually buy the car for the advertised price (plus taxes and license, of course); if you want them to ship it to another part of the country, it's reasonable that they'd have to charge for that service. Like you, I'm surprised by all of the "$2000 under invoice" deals. What seems to be the case is that some dealers are discounting by the amount of dealer holdback (2% of invoice); others are going even deeper by anticipating high-volume bonus $$$ from Hyundai based upon total units sold. My selling dealer (Santa Rosa, CA) is clearly not a super high volume dealer and I doubt that they get much back above the normal holdback; if they do, more power to them. I bought mine for straight invoice less the $1000 rebate; the dealer kept the holdback $$$ and anything else they might get from Hyundai. I'm happy and they're happy. If you're able to buy for $500-$600 below invoice less the rebate, my suggestion is to go for it. It's a good deal; buy the car and start enjoying it!
