06 Accord EX L V6 with navi: by don57 on Tue May 16 08:22:05 PDT 2006; :) Just got my new car at a dealer in Parkersburg, WV. Price was $27225 minus the $750 cash to dealer incentive. $75 in fees for title etc. $26550 before taxes. Dealers in my area don't have as much competition as those in the northern Va, DC and Maryland areas, so price may have been a little higher

[astrosmurfboy]: by cccompson on Tue Jan 11 14:56:02 PST 2005; There have been a number of posts here about very good experiences with some stores in NE Ohio: Classic Honda in Streetsboro; Park Honda in Akron; Jay Honda in Bedford, and The Honda Store in Youngstown.   All are within 3 or so hours of Parkersburg (I think).   Also, although I didn't buy from them, I got a pretty good quote a few years ago at the Honda dealer (can't recall the name) in Athens, Ohio, so they might be worth contacting too.

Good dealership In WV or OH for EX-L RES & NAV ?: by astrosmurfboy on Mon Jan 10 21:14:14 PST 2005; HI, I am looking for a good deal to purchase 2005 Honda Odyssey EX-Leather with RES & NAV. Currently I am located in Mid-Ohio Valley at Parkersburg,WV(26101). Had anybody got a good deal for the above mentioned Vehicle? or any recommendation. this will be our first minivan. we dont have any color preference right now. We are willing to travel travel(probably 2 to 3 hrs) if there is a good deal in other places. Thanks in advance for any help.

Bought Silver EX-L in KY for $29,800 Sept 20, 2003: by czearfoss on Mon Sep 22 09:59:36 PDT 2003; Just got a 2004 EX-L with 7 miles on it with no accessories for $29,800 (which includes mandatory $460 destination) at Honda of Frankfort, Frankfort, KY on Sept 20 2003. There was an additional $239 for title/docs/etc. Some other $150 BS charge was waived. Tax was $1600 or so (KY is about 6%, no cap!). Grand Total was about $31,730. Came with full tank of gas (19 gal.!) FYI, For EX-L, MSRP (sticker) is $31,330 and Invoice is $28,230 (both include the $460 destination charge). Started out by searching via Sam's Club site, and after putting in zip codes for all surrounding larger cities I got two hits. One in Parkersburg WV about 6 hours away provided a list that showed 2003s only and the Pilot was $1500 over invoice. I tried to call, but no callback. The other place was Laurenceville? (south of Columbus) OH, about 3 hours away. They didn't have a listing of prices, but over the phone I got 800 under MSRP. I had been working with the local Lexington KY dealer (Don Jacobs), but they wouldn't give me a price and wanted me to start the bidding... There must be about 5 dealers within a 100 mile radius, so I started with Honda of Frankfort since they were only about 20mi away. Earlier in the week they responded with an email that they had no pilots in stock. Anyway, in looking at this forum and some other info I figured for my area that 1500 was a good target price. They actually had 3 on the lot that came in on 19th, and I said I wanted 1500 under MSRP. They came back with 29,800 (1530 under MSRP) when they found I would buy that day. I used the "check with my wife and call you back" ruse to give the local dealer (Don Jacobs in lexington) a call, but the best they would do was 700 under MSRP. So after clarifying with Honda of Frankfort that I could choose between the Sandstone and the Silver (the other one was a Sage with DVD), I took the Silver and they had the paperwork ready when I got there at closing time 30 min. later. We paid cash so the process was extremely quick. I couldn't tell if I was getting a psych job or not, but the desk manager who gave me the price was smiling kind of funny and said that HIS boss said "you did WHAT?!" when told what I was offered. Probably to make me feel good. I probably could have called around more to get a better price, etc. but with the way these things move off the lot there is not a lot of opportunity for haggling, and I didn't want to take the chance of it taking another month to get a basic EX-L in a color I liked. Plus I can imagine having to drive some distance and chew up a whole day, etc. vs. the couple hours on Sat. that I spend (plus of course the hours over picking between Highlander, Passat wagon, Subaru stuff, and Pilot, and then the discussing whether the DVD was a good idea, etc.) Maybe it's just rationalization, but it feels good to have it over with and feel I got a decent if not great price. (we have a wedding in the family coming up soon and wanted to get this out of the way before then - plus we can haul more people around now too) Additional info: We considered the Sandstone (in fact we initially thought that was the one that we were being offered and were going to take it), but the Silver has the darker interior, which we wanted to camo kid dirt. Also, regarding roominess - I have two carseats in the 2nd row and I can comfortably fit between them in the middle seat, but I'm 5'11" and 160lbs - still, Pilots are wide! I know this is a long post, but more info is better!
