by leonoah on Sun Dec 06 19:30:54 PST 2009
I am from tricity area in WA and I am planing to buy in Seattle or Portland. Can some one tell me what are good OTD considering my tax rate is 8.3%? If you can recommend some dealers you had experience with, I will use your name as referral. 2010 EX-AWD: 23777 quoted before TTL. 2009 EX-AWD: 22777 quoted before TTL. Are they good for internet quotes? Thanks a lot!

Ok Closed the deal with another dealer few hours ago and looks like a got a great deal (Please respond!). My Story: Dealers in Seattle, WA area were little stubborn to give any kind of deal on Pilot Touring and advised to go for the deal iam getting (and I did). Finally got hold of Herb Wisnor (Internet Sales) at Dick Hannah Honda (Vancouver, WA) - 170 Miles away from my home. They straight bet all dealer price and probably pennies less than Edmonds invoice itself, which felt awesome. The best part was the dealer gave the option of refilling us if we drive or giving us a ride with family from Seattle to Vancouver, WA (wow) on their car....and we choose that, they came to our home and picked us up. And finally their document fees and title fees were least in the state and no excess at all. Can't believe things worked so great (no bullying at all --Only the finance guy tried to push the extended warranty little hard, which i refused promptly forever until he gave up) Drove back home our new baby (which was 13 miles when we picked it up). 2010 Honda Pilot Touring AWD with NAV & RES Final Price : $37151.75 (includes destination) Title fee : $84.00 (Other dealers charged upto 250.00$) Document Fee: 50$ (yup that's it, others charge 150.00$ - 200.00$) Also, we saved additional1% on sales tax due to location/county (1% is few hundreds when compared the price of the car). In total nice saving and not a bad drive home. Got Honda financing at 1.9% APR, and that's it!! So overall if worked just great for us. Guess a great place to buy car in WA state esp. Here is little regret now (can't blame the dealer ship at all for this but will talk to them): The car was awesome BUT IT DID drift/pull to the right if u let the steering loose (as few complained --can't believe). Will talk to dealership and Honda about that. They better fix this damm issue with 2010 Pilots. _shiva

It's so dark and gloomy here much of the time (Seattle) that very few people have their windows tinted. Cops hate it and they will pull you over if they think it's too dark so be careful. Tint really cuts down on night vision and it gets worse with raindrops on the tinted windows.

When I bought mine, there was a $2500 manufacturer to dealer incentive, so it was really $300 under invoice. Its been 6+ months and I can tell you its the best truck I have ever owned - I am confident you will love it! Good luck!

I would not depend too much on realcartips.com many of the MSRP's seem to be wrong also some other things might affect the % saved. for instance take the following: Sedan LX 5-Spd AT Seattle WA $24,299 $19,000 21.81% the actual msrp for this car ia almost $1000 less. The car probably had some dealer add on because if you take $1000 of that msrp you probably would be at between 18-19% off msrp. remember this is important because all cars have different or no options added to the car so you cannot expect to have the same percent off as this person. so for some one that bought without options it would only be 18-19% off msrp. also this gives you prices paid everywhere. not every market is the same so depending on your area you have to take other things into account and be realistic on whether you can save that much. Mrrame: if that is that case that there are only two cars it will be more difficult to negotiate the best price. at least until the 2010 comes out. It is easier to save more on sedans than on coupes so i would really not expect to have the save percentages saved as for sedans. again if you use realcartips.com click on details. not all people say if they had a trade in. many people that just look at the % saved get happy but dont realize other things affect the price which this site fails to do in my opinion. i think this forum is much more helpful because many people break down their purchase price. when i saw this % saved i was amazed (from realcartips.com): Aug 10, 2009 Coupe EX-L V-6 6-Spd MT w/ Navigation System Houston TX $31,625 $24,999 20.95% 20.95% would be great an unreal at least in the houston area (trust me on this). when you go to details it says there was a trade in and that dealer gave them $6500 fot it. so if he got c4c or marketing support it is not specified but it still seems to me as if this person paid more than they should (if they got the both cash supports). if not that means he/she paid msrp for the car so can you know see that 20.95% was not saved.

I just checked the Forum and saw your reply. Went out and looked. They do say Solargreen. And that's all I have to say about that....
