Re: AWD EXL - No RES in Seattle Area [gsid]
by seatlsteve on Thu Jun 11 10:22:56 PDT 2009
That looks to be a pretty good quote. For a 2009 4x4 EXL (No Res) Cars Direct is quoting $31628. I am looking at 09 EXL w/Res They are showing $33074. What dealer did you talk to? My last time out in Dec '06 Capitol Honda in Olympia gave me the best deal on my Pilot lease. Good luck...My current lease runs out at the end of the month.

I went for the 2009 due to the changes from the 2008, particularly around bluetooth, MP3, and the backup camera. The interior, I think, is also a little nicer. I ended up at Capital City Honda down in Olympia. I ended up with about $2800 under invoice and the experience in the end was quite good. Email me if you need more info. I know a few other deals who had an '09, so I can share that as well.
EX-L 4 no nav Capitol City Honda Olympia,WA
by rkh29 on Fri Mar 07 09:27:11 PST 2008
Stopped on my way home at Capitol City Honda to see what cars they had on the lot -quite a few. Looked at V6s and 4s and pretty much decided to go with a 4 and planned to test drive later. I asked a salesman how much over invoice they would sell them for and he said he would have to check with sales manager but they would "work" with me and meet others prices. He thought $400 or $500 over invoice. I returned with my wife several days later and he still did not have a price but we took a red 4 out to test drive and liked it. I wanted the ivory L interior and liked red better than beige. After the drive I again asked price and reminded him that he said they would match prices and handed him an email from an Oregon dealer that offered one $100 under invoice. $23,392 plus dealer added stuff (about $400 of added stuff). I had emailed asked the Oregon dealer about other fees and nothing about document fees but said I would need a $70 license to drive to WA. He took it inside and came back and said they would match it plus their dealer added stuff. Total stick tag on car was $29,055, with Decor package (pinstriping and door edge protection, @ $150, Splash guards @ $159, Cargo tray @ $169, and wheel locks @ $84. Having no better luck with WA and only one OR dealer I thought that was a good price and had actually planned to pay several hundred over invoice to get it closer to home (70 miles to Olympia & 160 to Portland). Eventually I was offered a different red car with less miles and no decor package, but I agreed to pay the "list price" for the decor (which I liked) and the splash guards. I suggested the trunk tray was too much and got it for $90 and I said I did not want the wheel locks. He claimed they were charged labor to remove them so they were included at no cost. The final number for car was $24,386.78 which included decor, splash guards, tray, and wheel locks. Tax here is a pricely 8.7% @ $2121.65. The very variable document fee was $50. I had a 2007 Honda Accord that I was keeping, so no trade in. I was allowed to put $3000 on my miles CC and paid balance when I picked up car. I suggested putting the whole payment on my CC but they not surprisingly, they declined. We had been told we could get free car washes and when we went to get the car, I asked if could get a wash for my old Honda and salesman had it washed and later went to parts a got a bottle of touch up paint (no charge), car was filled with gas, and told first oil change was free (standard practice, I believe). In summary, not the best deal in the country, but for WA or OR, I was happy to get it from a dealer relatively close to home.

Re: What is a "Practical" Honda CRV 2007 EX AWD Seattle Price ? [kitchenstand]
by isellhondas on Wed Sep 19 15:14:13 PDT 2007
Well, some of us still have a good stock of 2007 CRV's on hand so yourt timing is excellent for a great deal. This wasn't the case a couple of months ago but now, we have lots of cars and more on the way. I didn't understand some of your breakdown numbers on registration and license but this is something the dealers have no control over. We simply charge you and send the money to Olympia.
Re: Wa St. Olympia 2007 Civic LX MT Sedan quote [hpia4v2]
by flipexed1 on Thu Sep 28 21:14:28 PDT 2006
Nope it had 41 miles on it :) yah i was skeptical at first but they had it certified, only other manual on the lot was a 06 DX with hardly nothing in it. They tried their hardest for 1 1/2 to get me up to 18k because of the certified used warranty. My rationale was the salesman stated that the car was new; and I was expecting a new car and did'nt want to pay for the warranty. Good thing I brought snacks as waited those suckers out til they took the warranty out of the equation; still got it though. Any opinions on the 7yr/100k certified warranty?
