Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer

WA Honda Car Consumer Discussions

Re: seattle area deals [odysseynewb] by azaz on Fri Jan 06 20:15:45 PST 2012

I got the car at invoice. Was quoted that price over the phone by a SM @ HoK to get me in the door. Purchased the day before Thanksgiving...was in the market for a 2011...but no one in WA had an EX-L (no navi/res). Bellevue had (2) 2011's...one w/navi & one w/res. You might be able to get a deal if they're still available. However, after calling around...no one was willing to get even close to invoice on a 2012 while I was looking in 2011. And I was an all cash buyer. The best quote on the phone I could get was from Fife...for $1000 over invoice...so close to what you found. If you're not in a hurry...I'd wait for another month or so...and see if you could get closer to invoice. But DO NOT GO to Honda of Kirkland. I wrote *2* complaint letters to the GM/Owner. I attempted/was in contact with the GM/Owner, Customer Service Manager, a Sales Manager, and 2 Sales Associates...and I'm telling you...worst car buying experience ever. Only after I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau did I get a response to either of my letters. So many dealerships in the area...go to *any* one of them. I honestly would have paid more for a better experience...and if you knew me...that's saying something.

Re: 2010 Honda Accord EX-L price [srrji] by srrji on Sun May 02 22:10:09 PDT 2010

I finally purchased my 2010 Honda Accord EX-L (Mystic Green with Black interior) w/o Navi for $24424 (including dealer installed accessories - door guard, wheel lock, wheel guard and mud flaps). Dealer located the car 100 miles away. No extra charge. Tax is 9% + title. Overall very happy with the car and the service at Bellevue Honda, Bellevue, WA is phenomenal.

I can't remember the sales person's name. The dealership is Honda of Bellevue, Belelvue, WA

Re: Update from the Seattle area (WA State) [smariner] by dapplega on Mon Sep 15 22:30:26 PDT 2008

Well, we bought a black Odyssey EX-L from Bellevue Honda this weekend. Unfortunately I didn't do thorough research until after the sale but we needed to move quick due to other circumstances. Price was $27,472 which included all the usual Bellevue dealer add-ons (all season floor mats, mud flaps, wheel locks, door edge guards, wheel moldings, cargo tray). This price is less tax and license and accounted for destination fee. OTD @ $30,260.15. From the posts here you can probably strike a better deal than I.

Update from the Seattle area (WA State) by smariner on Sat Sep 13 23:14:37 PDT 2008

For the 2008 Odysseys, I got a quote of $3000 under invoice from Bellevue Honda (on the phone); $3500 under invoice from Kirkland Honda – both the quotes were over the phone; so, I’m not sure if that was a gimmick to get me in. Anyone got better deals in the Seattle area? Ideally, I'm looking at getting the LX or EX for $4000 less than the internet-invoice price.
