Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer
Oh, I've seen every trick played that you can think of. They always thought they were being so original and they thought we would fall for their lies. Sleaze comes from both sides.

I just received a quote from a Norfolk, VA area dealer for an EX-L w/ Leather for 29,530. Taxes, Title, and the 400.00 processing fee not included. If they go find the EX-L AWD w/ RES then it's 31,142 (not OTD). Just interested in seeing what others have paid OTD in this area. Thanks for any help.
I've seen posts from the Northern VA/MD/DC area, but nothing from Southeastern Virginia (Virginia Beach, Norfolk, etc.). I'm very torn right now about how to proceed with buying a CR-V (and may even look at another vehicle because it's a better deal). I'm curious about what people are paying down here - TMV indicates that it is close to MSRP, which is more than I want to pay. I'd drive up to three hours away to get a good deal, though. I want a glacier blue metallic EX-L with navigation, which I can't seem to find anywhere. Should I order one (and sacrifice my ability to negotiate, I assume) or wait? I would like to purchase by the spring. I'm also torn because with 0.9% financing on the Honda Pilot (and deals due to upcoming redesign), it's not too different in price from the CR-V. But, I realize they are very different vehicles. We already have a Pilot and love it. I just hate thinking that I'm paying too much for the CR-V.
We bought a new '06 Odyssey EX-L about 3 weeks ago for $25,800 plus tax, tags, etc. Out the door price was $27,134. No trade-in and we didn't get any of the undercoating, paint protection, extended warranty, etc. It was the only EX-L left on the lot, so we didn't get the color we wanted, but for that price it was hard to pass up. So far everything is great with it, but we have noticed the clunking sound right after starting, once we get to about 12 mph. I read that this is the brakes calibrating...does anyone know for sure this is true?
