Thanks for having this forum! I felt better equipped to go into the dealership to negotiate. Got good prices from Pohanka in NoVA and from Hubert Vestor in NC. West Broad Honda bettered the deal and my OTD price was $26.7, and I didn't have to drive anywhere to pick up a car. Yes, out the door (taxes, freight, $399 processing fee, and DMV fees included). I think I did pretty good since I walked out the door with the TOTAL purchase being $2K less than sticker price! I will say that Pohanka tried really hard to get my business though - maybe I should have tried for $26 even! (I started at $25.5K)

tn072 - Add a thousand dollars to the price if you want the financing. To figure out if it is worth it to get the financing versus the money off use the calculators I reference in my msg. Basically, unless you are going to put down about 1/2 through trade-in value and money down, the higher price with financing is the route to go. I have heard that the new model year Odyssey will arive in early fall - if color is not important to you, you may try waiting until a little closer to the new model year. happy hunting. -mkielm

I paid for the EX-L with a home equity loan, so I didn't need a loan. From reading many posts on this site in the last few months, I have seen that if you finance through Honda, and use the 0.9% rate or the 2.9% rate (for a longer term), it add a certain amount to the price. You should send a price quote today to ask what they can do with the EX-L with RES at 0.9% financing. Believe me, they were really stressing the good finance rates. Since the deals they give are so good, I think they are trying to earn extra incentive money from Honda for financing. By the way, also try Koons of Manassas: http://www.grabthewheel.com They are offering $500 extra off until the end of the day on Monday, but their prices are a bit higher than Hendrick. Between the two of them, you can get a good deal. I highly recommend both places. What they tell you is what they do.

Thanks to everyone contributing to this site. Made me much more confident that I was receiving a good price on my van. $27,936.00 (incl. dest. of $635) $$1,369.42 (TTT + fees (incl. 3.12 VA sales tax)) ---------------- $29,305.42 (OTD) Took full Mnfctr to Dealer rebate - no dealer finance. Check out cars.com website for useful "cash back vs. low interest" calculator. There's a similar calculator on Edmunds under Finance. Had offer of $27,750 + TTT + fees ($29,080.90 OTD) from Hendrick Honda in DC area for anyone up there. Thanks to those mentioning this dealership as their interent quote was easy to acquire and formed basis of deal in Richmond. Bought at West Broad Honda - good group of people. Good shopping everyone, and thanks again to all.
