2009 Honda Fit Sport Auto $1,000 Below Invoice, No HFC, Boston Area
by automaker on Sun Jul 05 16:20:19 PDT 2009
Deals are around and can be obtained as just picked up, over 4th July weekend in the just-outside-southwest-of-Boston area, a 2009 HFS Auto transmission for $1K below invoice at $16,218 (everyone knows $17,820 MSRP, with $17,211 invoice) with NO Honda Financing Corp (HFC) financing tie-in, with inspection sticker and full tank of gas, storm silver metallic (toss-up with tidewater blue metallic). Went this holiday weekend to the same interPLANETary dealer. $16,218 298 doc fees (hate'm, but gotta pay'em) 811 governor's sales tx 5% still 110 new registration and plates $17,437 OTD Complete As you likely know, if went with Honda Financing Corp could have gotten an extra $500 off with the HFC promo going on until tomorrow 7/6/09. Also $418 remote starter with 3 year warranty was available (vs. about $600). Dealer reps (every one of them we dealt with) were very nice, polite, and did not treat us negatively because we got a good price. The place was crowded. They saved us from the grueling hours and trips to comparison shop. Provided us plenty of ice cold Poland Springs waters during our time there on a hot day.....and they have recycle receptacles for the empty bottles. So, go buy there by specifically contacting that dealer in advance through the Honda.com internet site for getting local quotes and get your chance to ring the bell!
Re: SE V6 and Trade-in value [vinnyny]

Permission to buy an Accord? My wife would kiss my feet and do a victory dance if I traded in one of my stupid toys for a Honda Accord. Great gas mileage, safety, room for five, nicely appointed--at half the price! Women love guys who drive Accords because it says that they're sensible, responsible, and unpretentious. Yup, everything we don't want to be known as... Replies to this message: Well, when she holds the check book...Actually, we have saving for a while for a down payment. Each month we save, will be less to finance. Isell, being a teacher, I hope to test drive during spring break possibly so I can take the kids and test them out with car seats in the back. Plus, I don't want to buy when I test drive, so having the kids is a good excuse to leave the dealership and come back later.

It isn't a "rebate" but the dealer incentive is still ineffect. Thanks. I hope to test drive during spring break and buy in April--once my wife gives me premission. ;)
Happy buying experience of EX AWD at Frontrange honda, CO Spring
by tcpli on Sat Aug 12 20:58:00 PDT 2006
How much did I pay: 24,650+tax+19.5(loan filing fee) What did I pay for: 2006 EX AWD Pilot with only 6 miles on it. No options/accessaries as my sales man told me, even though I found cargo net is there. How did I pay: 2.9% honda promotion rate for 36 months with 0 down payment. I have read this forum for a while and learned a lot from here. I feel I should contribute my buying experience which may be helpful for others, especially for our poor guys live in CO/WY/NE areas. Most dealers won't sell a honda at a competitive price as those in coast and TX area. I started requesting online quotes from this Monday and received bunch of them: my nearest Honda of Markley didn't reply at all; all others around CO/WY quote me at around 26,300 at the first round. After I replied their quote asked for a "reasonable" one, most of them reduce their quote to somewhere around 25,700. Among them, the most notable is Honda of Casper from WY. I called my local dealer several time since they treat me well when I was there test-driving. Their usual sales man quote me at price which may be very reasonable here, albeit not as attactive as what I learn from this forum. The quote from Honda of Casper (3 hour driving from me) was competitive. At the same time I am impressed by their internet sales manager (by the rule of this forum, no name) who is very helpful and honest. However at the last minute when I countered their offer by $500, their sales manager who offer me quite competitive quote at first place was not willing to budge a bit at all. At the same time I was still working (emailing back and forth) with several other dealer's internet sales. In the end, the internet sales man from Frontrange Honda (2 hour driving from my place) beats them all and win me over not only by their competitive price, but also by his total honesty and professionality. After his quote was seriouly considered, I asked him to fax me a copy of quote with detailed run-down. Then I made my deposit over the phone, walked out my home with my wife, and drove to their dealership. (However, we were caught in a heavy afternoon shower and hell.) The entire transaction went very smoothly and all documents especially those which need signature was clearly explained. As was promised, no surprises, no strings attached. During the time when finance department was working on the documents, he showed to us all the important features of our pilot professionally and competently. Both my wife and I was impressed. I highly recommend for those who are looking into buying a Honda to give them (especially the internet sales guy) a shot. In all my impression, you will not be disappointed and most probably end up with a very happy purchase.

In response to out-of-state deals by suhti
by atalalay on Wed Jan 29 18:16:12 PST 2003
I disagee with Suhti about the logistics of doing an out-of-state deal. The fact is that I did my deal without ever leaving my home and the vehicle is scheduled to come on a flatbed to my home. Unless a local dealer has the desired vehicle in stock (in most cities Honda does not have adequate inventory), it makes little difference whether it comes from in or out of state. The only differnce is standing in line at the DMV. One can always take the trade-in to Carmax... Suhti, how old is your Prelude? Furthermore, $1k off MSRP is no longer the best deal in the DC area! Auction #464 at mycarmyprice.com had one go for $1806 over invoice in Silver Spring, MD. FYI: other recent deals for Pilots include $1k over invoice in Hancock MI and $1.5k over in Carmel IN; there is also one (in TX) that is already at $1.2k over with a few days to go...
