Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer
hi familyof5la, I am close to Oceanside. I contacted local dealers and a few south/north and best deal so far is 32600 + TTL. Your price $32715 is close to mine, but does it include the pro-pack/dealer protection package and destination fee? mine does. People from the east seem to get better deal or in TX. Anyone knows of upcoming incentive from Honda?
I wasn't aware of the MFG $$ being offered but you can do better. Received a quote today for 21012 SE for 20,539 ... Honda of Lake Jackson- Just south of Houston... Received a quote from Gillman in Houston for 20,890. McDavid In Frisco Tx quoted 22,031 for EX and 23,475 for EXL I-4 With financing incentives also it appears to be good time to buy. Honda needs to ramp up sales significantly and dealers seem ready to negotiate Happy Hunting !
We are comparing the Sienna XLE and Odyssey EXL. Liked both cars and are leaning to the Ody. BUT, the Ody's price is almost $2k more than a comparable Sienna. We are teachers and get a special discount through our local Toyota dealership, but the Honda dealerships have been pretty stingy in their prices. Anybody have any luck in south TX?
Russell & Smith Honda, on the South Loop, today, 12-17-2010. Quote of $19,620 OTD. I saw it, drove it. Still undecided, I think I like the Nissan Altima more than the Honda Accord. Honda seems roomier, Nissan feels faster, sportier.
@ezcastillo - I know a dealer in Denver whose initial bid was only $34,700 for the 2011 model with RES and I believe invoice pricing is higher on the new models. The N. Colorado quotes seem a little high. What I ended up doing (I just purchased my 2011 Touring last Saturday) is to log on to Honda's website, then start soliciting quotes from everyone in the area. I took the lowest two, then set a target price below the initial bids to see if either would meet it. If you live in Ft. Collins or thereabouts, then it may be too much of a drive, but by far the lowest bidder in the area for me was Front Range Honda in south Colorado Springs. There's a guy named Shawn (719-439-1954) there who hooked me up with a price that was $1,300 below the average bidding price for the area. I live in Castle Rock, but even called NM and TX dealers to see if they'd beat that price and no one was close. If you contact him, tell him "Colin" sent you. I said I'd spread the word about the deal I got (he literally was the best by over $1,000) if he hooked me up with kickbacks for accessories. :-)
