Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer
Last summer I talked to a guy that just bought a new civic. He wanted a new fit but the salesman told him all Honda dealers get just 2 fits a year. I didn't say anything but I thought the Honda salesman was being untruthful. I have heard that a very few are. Can any one tell me how many Fits are built this year and how many Honda dealers there are? Thanks. Wayne

Hello all. First time poster. We're looking to trade-in our 2003 Toyota 4-Runner for a 07 Pilot EXL W/Nav. I sent an email to the only Honda dealer in town (located in Corpus Christi, TX) and the manger contacted me and told me his cost was $31,509 and to work from there (same as the Edmunds invoice price). After reading this forum I know he has a dealer hold back and someone mentioned their dealer said the rebate was still in effect, but this guy acts as if it's not. I told him that I could arrange financing through my credit union so he could treat this as a cash deal. I also didn't mention that I would be trading if our 4-Runner as I've read it's better to deal with this separately after the buying price is confirmed. I went to Cars direct and their "target" price is $29,809 (not sure if this includes destination, etc.) which is still higher than some of you seem to have paid, but looks as though it might include the $2000 rebate. Does Car direct price seem to be about right to you guys? BTW, Houston and San Antonio are both within ~ 200 miles so I can look elsewhere if necessary. Your informed opinions and advise are appreciated. Oh yeah, I asked for Silver; don't know if that matters. Thanks. PS.. Any good sites to let me know what I should expect to get from my 4-Runner on trade-in or resale?
I'm still looking for 2006 ex-l l/nav. I found it. But Champion Honda is suck. sale manager told me, He can off $5,000, 2006 , but, it was a demo, 2,000miles. I geuss that there are no honda here. no good champion honda.
After reading the most recent postings where Accord VP's are being bought at $800.00 below invoice price which here is $17,782.00 I am envious of those folks who are able to purchase below $17,000.00 as the dealers in the Austin and San Antonio area say that $18,000.00 is the lowest price they can go. If anyone from the Austin/San Antonio or Corpus Christi area has bought this model recently for less would be most curious to learn what the price was and which dealer you purchased from.
