2010 Pilot EX-L with RES FWD, good price?
by juliawithtwo on Sat Dec 05 16:35:21 PST 2009
I am getting quotes from multiple dealerships through their internet department. One is offering $33,200 + TTL with current financing. Do you think that's a good (enough) deal on a 2010 EX-L with RES, or do you think that I could get an even better deal at the end of the month, after Christmas? (I am in Austin, TX area, but we are shopping all the dealerships from Dallas down to San Antonio.)

Casey, Which dealer in Austin you got your Fit from? What's the OTD price for your Fit? Thanks
Austin, TX Fit Sport Manual

Just paid the following for a Fit Sport manual in Austin, TX with no extras: Price including destionation fee: $16650 + TTL. I probably could have gotten around $16500, but the color I wanted wasn't available so the car had to be located at another dealership. I love the car so far! - Casey

The doc fee in Texas used to be capped at $50 by law. As such, the dealers usually lumped the doc fee into TTL (they shouldn't since the $50 doc fee was "allowed" but not "required" by law). Anyway, starting from 9/1/2009, the law has been changed (thanks to our elected officials) and the dealers can now charge whatever they want for the doc fee. Maybe dealers in Houston are still charging $50. But the dealer in Austin where I bought my CR-V from earlier this week has increased it to $99. So, folks in TX need to pay attention to the doc fee when they buy their next car. Some dealers might hide a high doc fee in TTL.

Congratulations! Where did you purchase? I've been shopping for the exact same vehicle and can't get a single dealer within a 4 hour radius of Austin, TX to go lower than Invoice ($37,347) minus $2500. I'm getting so frustrated reading about everyone getting these great deals and I can't even come close. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
