2008 Accord Sedan EX-L: by mseenviro on Tue May 27 06:20:03 PDT 2008; I've been watching this board for quite some time and as I began to see pricing for the 4 Cyl EX-L's drop below $24,000 I thought it was time to act. I sent emails to about 20 dealers in a 200 mile radius. That in itself was an interesting process, as the majority of the dealers did not reply to my request. What I told them in the email was that I was seeking a 2008 Accord Sedan, EX-L, 4 Cyl, AT, no Nav and that I would be purchasing in the next three days. Of the 20 requests, I received 6 replies with the information I was seeking (quote). I did have two phone calls, including one that said she had already emailed the quote, which never arrived. I left her a message asking her to send it again or call me back and she did neither. I ended up back at the dealer 15 miles from home where I had purchased my 2006 Pilot, Phil Bachman Honda in Kingsport, TN. The Internet Manager there made the process extremely easy. We were able to purchase the 2008 EX-L for $23,988, which I thought was a pretty good price based on what I am seeing and especially getting it from a dealer who has provided me with outstanding service on my Pilot. If anyone is within several hours drive of Kingsport, TN I would urge you to contact the internet manager at Phil Bachman Honda, as he is the most professional, low key Internet sales rep I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The Accord is AWESOME. Silver with Black interior, it is a beauty and drives like a dream. When I drove it home my 21 year old son said "dang, I thought you got a BMW 5 series!" I told him, no, for the price of the BMW, you could get two and a half Accords." I am very pleased with my purchase and I would like to thank all the folks on this board who posted their pricing that allowed me to get a very good deal on the Accord. :shades:

I contacted Conyers Honda and Tean Honda and received prompt responses from both. Conyers Honda kept pushing me to come in saying they would beat any quote by $200, but wouldn't give me a number. I told them for me to drive 200 miles I had to have a number, and a good one at that. I also found several dealers in the Knoxville, TN area that were good; Westside Honda, Airport Honda, and Rusty Wallace Honda were all easy to deal with. Westside offered the best price in that area. Phil Bachman Honda in Kingsport beat all of them. I suspect I could have driven to Atlanta and gotten them to beat the price I got at Phil Bachman ($26,300 for a 4wd EX-L) but I doubt it would have covered the gas or my time. Dealers seem to be in the mood to deal, so get a good offer and them play the dealers off against each other. Eventually one will rise to the top and the others will fall off. I had four different dealers tell me that I should purchase it from the other dealer if they would sell it to me at $26,300, which they did. Good Luck.

The internet manager was outstanding. ($26,400 was the previous best offer) They had quite a few on the lot, so I expect he'd make you a great deal. It's funny, but Hendrick Honda in Charlotte would not come close to dealing with me on my Pilot. Go figure. I had a great experience at Phil Bachman Honda in Kingsport, TN. Their internet manager went over and above the call of duty and gave me a great deal at $26,300 for a black 4WD EX-L. They threw in the first three service visits for free and when I told them I didn't want the $189.00 mud guards on the Pilot, they sold them to me at cost of $51, just to avoid having to pay the labor to remove them. Even though they made very little on the sale, they treated me very well. :shades:

2006 Honda Civic EX w/ Navi: by ahzroe on Tue Jul 25 12:59:36 PDT 2006; I committed to purchase this today in Galaxy Gray Metallic. Price was $19922.64 plus tax, tags and fees. The "fees" are a dealership processing charge of $249.50 ($20172.14 + TTL). I found a Honda OEM XM Satellite Radio Kit, new and in box. I plan on purchasing it and have the dealer install for about $200. Purchase was made at Phil Bachman Honda in Kingsport, TN..... Thoughts?

We are about 2 1/2 - 3 hrs from Kingsport, TN (my husband does some business there and frequently makes the trip). Don't even think about coming over here and swiping that black Odyssey before I can get my husband over there to look at it!! LOL
