SC 2007 EX-L RES Price
by ntruroman on Fri Nov 24 21:27:30 PST 2006
Just picked it up today. 30,122.50 - OUT THE DOOR - including wheel locks, splash guards, all-weather mats, destination and doc fees. No sales tax this weekend in SC, so I saved another $300. Got it online at Hendrick of Easley in SC. Nice folks, and a decent price.
Great Deal at Hendrick Honda, Easley SC. '06 EX-L NAV/RES
by geechigirl on Thu Sep 14 13:57:27 PDT 2006
I just bought a 2006 EX-L RES & NAV for 31,700 OTD. This price included wheel locks and splash guards. I hope this was a good deal. The folks at Hendrick Honda were really nice. I went through the internet and it was seamless.

North Carolina Deal - Raleigh
by sportymonk on Sat Aug 13 14:21:06 PDT 2005
For those looking in the Raleigh NC area. I bought my EX-L on June 29th for $27,870 + Dest $515 = $28,285.00 Tax Doc fee tag made OTD of $29,680.55. Added tow pkg for $985 for final of $30,695.10. No trade-in. Took 01 Impala to Carmax later for $5100. Contact Internet Office at Leith Honda. DO NOT walk-in any dealer. Other good dealers were: Hendrick Honda, Woodbridge VA for OTD of $30,067.74 includes door edge guards, wheel well guards, pin stripes, mud guards, floor mats and wheel locks. (Offer for add-ons may not be in effect now of course) Burlington Honda, Burlington NC OTD = $30,159.00 Hendrick Honda, Easley SC = $30,228.82. Hendricks Honda, Charlotte NC OTD = $30,260.25 All very professional and courteous. Can't recommend Landmark Honda in alexandria VA. Salesperson had an attitude with my wife when he found out we bought somewhere else.

QUOTE "Sorry for your Leith experience. Here at Crown in the Internet Department, the price of the Pilot EX-L RES is 29,756 (including Dest)." Well I guess the Internet Dept is offering much better deals than in person because Crown Chapel Hill was one of the few I went by in person and I was offered $700 below MRSP and $1000 less on my trade than Car Max! I did go through the Internet Dept and an EX-L was $29,188.00 including destination which put Crown at #10 of 20. It sounds like the person that got offered the Demo at Leith went in person rather than using the Internet. No dealer I visited in person had a competitive offer. I would NEVER visit a dealer to negotiate again. I never saw my salesperson until I walked in with the check. As of the end of June when I bought mine, I had the following prices on an EX-L, all including the $515 destination. (Almost all dealers quoted with dest included but you need to be clear on that anyways.) None include Tax, Title or Doc fes since that varies so much. 1. Leith Honda - Raleigh - $28,385.00 2. Hendrick Honda - Woodbridge VA - $28,806.00 3. Burlington Honda - Burlington NC - $30159.00 (Didn't give a breakdown but this one is OTD which was still #3) 4. Hendrick Honda - Easley SC = $28,995.00 5. Hendricks Honda - Charlotte NC - $28,975.00 (Doc fees were a little higher than Easley) All of these top five were professional, competent and had my respect and trust. Depending upon price offered and distance, I would buy from any of them.

Sorry for the delay in responding but went off for the 4th and have been busy catching up. Based upon incentives offered through July 5th (don't know what is offered now) the vehicle cost $27, 870.00. With $515 Dest the price was $28,385.00. OTD price for EX-L with no NAV or RES was $29,680.55. With tow pkg the final OTD was $30,696.10 The way I handled it, based upon the information gathered here was to send out email asking for the best price. I asked for an itemization or breakdown of the cost, (Taxes, title, tag, etc.) Many sent quotes lumping Dest and vehicle together. I intended on taking the top four or five and negotiating further but the closest was the lowest. Based upon other dealer info, I did negotiate the tow pkg a little more. Leith had to bring it in and they asked me how many miles would I accept. I said 150. They brought it in with 42.7 and the plastic still on it. No problems at all on it. One dealer said they could only do $2000 off MSRP over the phone but might could do more when I came in. They immediately fell off the list. As far as dealers in North Carolina area, the best was at Leith in Raleigh. Contact the Internet manager. Next was Hendrick in Woodbridge VA; Burlington Honda in Burlington NC, Hendrick Honda in Easley SC and Hendrick honda in Charlotte NC. All were professional and courteous. Can't mention names but email me but GO INTERNET MANAGER. DON'T WALK IN. I will never walk into another dealer to buy again, only to test drive. Manufacturers are going to have to change the way they do business and reimburse dealers now that the internet has entered the equation. Is it fair to test drive at one dealer and then buy at another? No. Would you give up a couple of thousand or even hundred just because you test drove at a dealer? NO! The business model of car makers has to be changed. I bought the tow pkg at the dealer and had them install due to the complexity of the coolers. I bought my extended warranty, crossbars, cargo cover, rear mud guards, and cargo liner all at www.hondacuraworld.com at considerable savings. BTW I left NC with 300 miles it for our trip to South Georgia. Came back with 1500 miles on it. Averaged 20.8 to 21.9 driving 70 - 75 most of the time. Entire family loves it.
