Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer
I have gotten quotes below invoice from Schaller Honda in New Britain, as well as Majestic Honda in Warwick, RI and Metro Honda in Johnston, RI. My original quote from Westbrook Honda (closest one to me) was much over invoice but I called and asked if they would match the quotes from the other dealerships and the guy said yes.
I purchased my 2007 Ridgeline RTL w/Navigation last Saturday, August 11. The dealer was Majestic Honda in West Warwick, RI. I paid $28,600 including destination. The dealer also gave me 22 gallons of gas free (standard Hoda practice). I'm sure somebody out there has paid less but I must say that I am thrilled with this truck! This was a very good decision. The quality of this vehicle is top notch. The ride and handling are excellent, great stereo and XM satelite radio, and all sorts of storage. The gas mileage is just fine for me. I got 16.5 miles per gallon in my first week. Almost all of my driving is around town. I also purchased a mat to cover the bed area. It looks great and fits exact. This vehicle is a keeper. I'm looking to buy a Honda Civic. I'm either going to go with a 2 door/Coupe or the 4 door Sedan. I'll probably be buying it from Majestic Honda in Warwick, RI. Their prices look good, average and I did a search on here and it seems like a few people bought from there and had no complaints. I'm looking for advice on how to go about financing it? My credit is pretty good. I know my FICO score is a 666, not sure on the others. I haven't looked into the dealerships financing options, I wanted advice first. I thought maybe about going with Honda Financial or just taking out a loan somewhere like a bank, Eloan or capital one. I'd need about $15,000. For now, I care more about the lowest monthly payment possible. I figure in a few months I could always do a refinancing thing like Capital One offers and get lower interest or something. Any advice? Anyone ever finance from Honda or Majestic and know how their rates go or anything? If you are a recent graduate, or will be graduating soon, try Honda finance. Although your FICO is low, the recent graduate program will work for you if you never had any negatives, like not paying on time, or not paying at all. Under the recent graduate program you would qualify for the lowest advertized rate, which is 1.9% right now on the Civic's.

I have a 2 week old LX AWD. Got for $300 over invoice as a "no haggle" offer referred through triple-A. Added top of line lo-jack for just over $500; no other accessories.no preparation or documentation fees except $100 for routine DMV transactions. This was at Majestic Honda in Warwick, RI. I also bought a Civic from them awhile back, and will go there when I need my Odyssey replaced in a couple years. Very friendly, absolutely NO BS :) , very responsive. Actually a pleasureful experience for a guy who totally hates shopping for anything, let alone a biggie like a car. Perhaps I could have raised my blood pressure and stomach acid haggling away a couple hundred more over a month somewhere else, but why bother? BTW, love the car!
