I'm looking to buy a 2009 civic coupe ex in the next two weeks in Lehigh Valley, PA or NJ. Anyone have any dealerships they recommend or can help me with an idea of how much I should look to pay. This is my first card purchase so any advice is appreciated.

I used Keenan but Lehigh Valley Honda is a much nicer group and was willing to price match. Oh and Mike P in lower bucks was going to match one of the 25,556 I was stuck at for about 3 days with dealers but my trade in price was not so good. We were shopping for 2 weeks taking my daughter for rides to and from Allentown in the last hour I decicded to go with the closer group. In the end hubby went to seal the deal because in all honesty I wanted to buy at lehigh . Lehigh Valley cares way more about the customers and if you are a women they do treat you as an equal! Both dealers would tinker with the numbers at my suggestion and it did take 2 weeks to get it at that price. Hope that helps!
Purchased 08 Ody-Touring NO PAX in NJ
by njmanish on Sat Apr 05 08:11:55 PDT 2008
Purchased 08 Ody-Touring Without PAX in NJ I finally bought my 08 Odyssey Touring (without PAX) couple days ago from Open Road Honda in Edison, NJ Base Price = $33314 (2.9k below invoice) + Destn = $635 + Doc. fee = $359 (its high but they would not lower it, instead gave free all-season mats & wheel-locks) + NJ Tax 7% + MV Title/Registration Accessories: Wood-Trim (front and back) $489 installed (they're plastic but look good) All-season mats (free - would definately recommend these) Wheel-locks (free - but useless in my opinion) Paid 5k on credit-card (max. allowed) & Rest by certified check (No Finance) Did initial quote over email (DonkeyPunch method) then negotiated over email/phone to clarify all other fees/charges. Open-Road Honda (Edison) gave me the best overall deal due to trade-in. The had one of the lowest prices (except document fees), gave me the highest price for my trade-in, they got the vehicle next day and took $5k payment on credit-card. Open Road were really professional and process was smooth (walked out w/ deal in 1-hr including trade-in appraisal, then picked up car w/ accessories installed next day - paid only after test-drive actual car). Note: the lowest they could offer the 8-yr/120k No-deductible Warranty was $1800 so I did not buy. Planet Honda price was same as Open Road Honda but they did not have my color in stock and said they would only order factory-direct (~3-week wait) instead of getting from another dealer (weird). I would stay away from Metro Honda (Jersey City) - they had good price but when I showed up they claimed their quote was for a 2007 model then tried to sell me an 2008 EX-L for same price! Madison Honda, Clinton Honda, P'burg Honda, Lehigh Valley Honda (PA), Ray Price Honda (PA) were very cordial to deal with but the best they could offer was $2k below invoice and did not want to match the other dealers price. Thanks to all on the board for providing useful info and to DonkeyPunch for the request-quote method. The Ody runs awesome, I love the leather, voice-command and blue-tooth and Nav and RES, the plus-one seat is lame and already we've removed it. I will follow-board for few more days if someone has any questions of needs names of people I dealt with. Manish
2007 EX-L Price Paid on Oct. 31

I bought a 2007 Pilot EX-L in Nimbus Gray Metallic without navigation or rear entertainment. At the advice of this site, I did a lot of haggling via email with three or four local dealers and went to the dealer already knowing how much I was going to pay. I ended up paying 30,600 (including destination) plus the typical taxes, title and licensing. I had them throw in mud guard and wheel locks. I bought at Lehigh Valley Honda in Allentown (Emmaus), Pa. The person I dealt with via email was responsive and met my deadlines. They really lowballed me on the trade so I pulled it from the deal and am selling it on my own. Phillipsburg (NJ)-Easton Honda was bad about replying electronically, so even though they were 20 minutes closer, I took them out of the equation. I've already driven the Pilot on a three-hour trip to Syracuse and then into New York City. Other than my fear or being bumped in New York with the new car, the Pilot is great. :)
AVOID VINART IN LEHIGH VALLEY: THEY WON'T DO THE DEAL!
by prosource1 on Mon Jul 31 19:42:04 PDT 2006
My wife and I are trading our 2004 Pilot for an 06 EXL-RES. Vinart responded to my emails for $28k for the newand $15,500 for my 'O4. Upon arrival their best offer was as follows: $29,995 for 06 EXL-RES $15500 for '04 EXL-RES with 85k (exactly what KBB lists) $1083 for accessories (lower trim, cargo tray and air deflct Isn't this about $1900 more than what they could sell this to me for? They wouldn't touch the $28K and the salesman got nasty when I told him I wanted the $28K or nothing. We walked. Clinton offered me $27900 but they are in NJ and its a hassle b/c I am in Pa and then need to have the truck inspected here. Oh and I was buying an '06 Civic as well and they let me walk. My wife and I were not impressed with the way we were treated. They made no effort to retain our business. That is our last visit to Vinart and I do not recommend them. Over and over I am reading bad things about this dealership and their wooing of customers in on prices and then not touching the deal they imply they will do. Low-class operation.
