Civic LX coupe M/T
by biokhemica on Thu Apr 03 22:20:21 PDT 2008
I just picked up a 2008 Civic coupe LX M/T at JL Freed in Lansdale PA for invoice. He was willing to do 4 cylinder accords at invoice as well. I paid in full with cash and no trade in. Price Breakdown Purchase Price: $16067 6% PA Tax: $964.02 Tire Tax: $5 Tag & Title Service: $58.50 (new plates, not plate transfer) Doc Fee: $55 (this will be the same at all PA dealers) Total out the door = $17149.52 I had a very laid back salesman who was great to deal with and I would highly recommend. Once I mentioned I had already been quoted invoice online he immediately said he would match, no negotiations needed. He did not try to hard sell me on warranties and additional options. I can't post the salesman's name here, but if you're in the Philly area and interested, reply with your email address and I can give you the salesman's name and contact info.

Just set up a deal for my dad who bought a 2006 Honda Pilot LX AWD from J.L Freed Honda in Lansdale PA for $25,120.00 which included the 550 destination charge. With PA Tax and tags, out the door price total was $26,750.00. I dealt with the internet sales manager. I e-mailed all the Honda Dealerships and all came back with quotes of 25,999 - 26,400. Everything was easy. Vehicle was in stock. Also received free lifetime PA state inspection, free rear cargo cover as well as first free oil change and discount on parts at the parts dept.

Re: Philly - EXL RES and Navi for Inv + $484 [fhymson]

I researched Eastern Pa and surrounding area pretty extensively this past Fri. and Mon. Few RES/NAV to be had in Phila area. If you are willing to pay $500 under MSRP, there are a number of dealers in the area that have 1 or 2 in stock--but most dealers have none. (if you want to know the names, let me know) If not, here are some options:   Martin Honda, Newark, DE-- as of Mon. night had 4 RES/NAV in stock that they would sell for $1,000 over invoice   JL Freed (Lansdale, PA) -- would place an order for $500 over invoice   Metro Honda, Jersey City, NJ (North Jersey) -- When I called back on Monday to purchase the last one in stock at $500 over invoice, I was told that another buyer was in the showroom and had test driven the vehicle and they had to give preference to him; he bought the minivan, and the salesman said they could get one within the next week or so (he claimed to have made calls on Monday, trying to trade, but I didn't hear from him yesterday).   I bought out of state; awaiting paperwork to close deal. Will report on details when car is in hand.   If you want contact names and phone numbers, check my profile for email address and email me.   I remind you that if you have excellent credit, today is the last day to take advantage of Honda Financial's 2.9% financing offer. My understanding is that you don't need to take delivery today, you would just need to make your deal with the dealership for a specific vehicle that is scheduled to arrive within next 10 days. (I believe the application requires a VIN, and Honda's approval of that application is good for 10 days--i.e. you have to take delivery within 10 days.) I just got the 2.9% yesterday--nothing down, 60 months. (Honda Financial first quoted 3.9% but I asked the salesperson to go back and get 2.9%, which they did.)   As of now, Honda has not posted any additional special offers on their website.   Keep us posted on your efforts.
05 Pilot
by ttuck on Sat Sep 25 07:43:55 PDT 2004
Just put deposit on 05 Pilot EX-L with DVD in black with saddle interior, picking up on Tuesday. AFter extensive shopping, best deal I got in the Philadelphia area was $1000 under MSRP, and I got a good deal on my trade. Took lots of work over several weeks to flush out this deal, most Phila. dealers including the big ones want to sell at or near MSRP. Many were real jerks with a bad attitude, and I'm surprised how many knew absolutely nothing about the 05's or the pricing - I knew far more than most of the sales people I dealt with. Of course, that's been my typical experience everytime I buy a car - I'm always stunned at how little the average salesperson knows about what they are selling. Anyway, I think I got a pretty ggod deal, and the salesperson I ended up dealing with was professional, reasonable, and knowledgeable. Turned out that the best deal was at a small dealership(JL Freed Lansdale, PA) a few miles from my home, the big dealerships just couldn't come close.
