Hello Folks, Till these days i was watching all the postings. After analyzing the price quoted in this forum and checking back and forth with the dealers, i finally bought 2008 CR-V EX AWD yesterday. Thanks to Edmunds and thanks to everyone in this group. I bought it in Penn state. Details are as follows. OTD Price : $23094(including destination fee) + Tax ( 6% PA Tax) + Tag fee , Registration fee , Doc fee ( $165) = $24643 ( Total-OTD) I hope the deal is pretty decent and not over paid. NOTE: The $21.1K figure from Heritage was a B&S tactic and the actual price went up another $1K at the end. Also, the price from Ourisman of Laurel may vary from an additional $100-$300 more depending on the day/time and who you talk to, and whatever other options that comes with the car. Landmark had quoted me an OTD price but the numbers weren't firm between the sales person and the sales manager, so be wary if you're planning on dealing with any of these dealers that they don't switch the numbers on you.

I live in Lancaster and Jones Honda quoted me the worse price even though I bought my last CRV from them. Piazza Honda in Reading was $1,000 less and Ebersole Honda was 1,300 less. Ebersole gave me another 200 off and I bought there. I traded in a 05 CRV and the difference was 6,285 plus TTL for a total price of 6771. The base price of the CRV went up 920 dollars since 05 which comes out to a 22.48 percent depreciation in 3 years.

smackldog --- Thanks for the advice. I will look into those other dealerships. I've only dealt with two dealerships in the area, Philadelphia/Piazza Automall and MainLine/Ardmore Honda since they are close to where I live. York is about 2 hour drive, as in Lancaster, but I'll request a quote from them and see if I can get a couteroffer from the other dealers in my area. I also, requested a quote from Apple Honda on sunday, but still haven't heard word yet. I asked if they could give me a quote with a fog light add-on, but to date no quote yet. Thanks for your help.

xxazngrl2000xx -- Consider getting quotes from Apple Honda in York, PA's internet dept. Even though I'm in the northern VA/DC/MD metro area, I actually requested quotes from as far as York and Lancaster, PA (Jones Honda) just to see what they were like, and Apple Honda came quoted me $22,265 base sales price, not including dest., tags, taxes, etc. for a 2008 CR-V 4WD EX that I'm currently shopping. That puts them the second lowest among the 21 quotes that I've received initially, and this is just the first quote from them without any counteroffers yet. Also, did you also request a quote from Norristown Honda in Norristown, PA? I've been told that their service is pretty good but not too sure about their pricing. Hope this data point helps.

We are looking to buy ODY Ex-L w/RES. Our first quote (at the dealership) was 35,000! After reading most of the posts in this discussion I realize we can do much better. Can anyone stear us to a good dealer in the York,Lancaster, Harrisburg PA area. We are willing to travel. Thanks everyone.
