2009 Blackberry Pearl Honda Fit Sport AT - Harrisburg, PA

I just picked up my BBP 2009 Fit Sport yesterday. I really wanted this color so after putting $300 down, they found one nearby (80 miles away), they brought it to the dealership for me to purchase. I bought it for $17,380.00, which is $200 under MSRP. Dealership was great, no hidden charges and 4.49 percent financing for 60 months. So far, so good!

Just picked up a 2008 Slate Green Odyssey EX in Harrisburg, PA. Here were my numbers: MSRP: 29,630.00 Discount: 6566.46 Sale Price: 23,063.54 Tax (6%): 1383.81 Tags/Other Fees*: 52.65 Total OTD: 24,500.00 *I transferred an existing registration; other fees were $5 tire tax and 14.15 online registration fee. I did get a quote for 22,500 (before tax/tags), 24003.95 OTD from a dealer in Bloomsburg, but I had already committed to buying from a dealer locally. I never got the 24003.95 quote OTD in writing, so I can't say if it was legit or not. The dealer I did end up buying from was really reluctant to dip into their holdback at all, but thanks to the donkeypunch methodology, after getting a better price from another dealer, I got a price that dipped into $335 of the holdback. Also, a couple of things I found interesting: 1) The sales manager said that their holdback is actually %2 + another 1.5%, meaning they get a total of 3.5% holdback, not 3%. Don't know if that is just this dealer or if all dealers get that. If that was true, they made about $678 on this deal. 2) This particular dealer's inventory of 08 Odysseys recently INCREASED, meaning they got new vehicles in. My best guess is that Honda is giving them some incentive to sell more. The dealer is probably the largest in the area.
2008 Accord Sedan EX-L MT

Just wanted to share the details on my '08 Accord EXL Sedan MT purchase today. Purchase was from Faulkner Honda in Harrisburg, PA. Could probably have waited a little longer to get a better price, but they were the only Central PA dealer that had the MT in the trim and color combination that I preferred so I couldn't run the risk of pushing the envelope on price. Obviously the MT is not in big demand, but also has a limited inventory to negotiate against. Faulkner was also the best on price in the area by about $300-$400. Except for a small downpayment the entire car was financed at .9% APR. They also tried to sell me the Honda extended warranty, and dropped their price on it to $1,250, but would not sell it for the internet price of $915, so I passed. Here is the breakdown of the deal. Hope it helps someone with their purchase. Base price w/destination: $23,250 [Approximately $160 under invoice] Dealer Doc Fees: $55 Accessories installed: splash guards: $134; Body side moulding: $246 6% Sales Tax: $1,417 Official Fees/Tags/Title: $120 Total loan finance charge: $348 Total OTD: $25,570

Price for VP Automatic - OTD $16600 + TTL from Open Road 3 hours from home, $17120 + TTL from Rahal 5 minutes from home. Any other dealers I should contact for great price? Opinions on Open Road? Thanks
