We got a quote for the car only EX-L at Scott Honda West Chester for $30000. We also have a trade which will muddy the water. I've emailed Piazza Honda Pottstown where we bought our 01 Ody. Hopefully they're more reasonable. Robert in Downingtown only has 5 EX-Ls on the lot and 3 are the same color. (Boo!) Keep posting your findings here.
civil ex 07 and 08 Chester County PA
by wheelanddeal on Sat Nov 17 21:41:06 PST 2007
I am in the market for an 07 or 08 civil ex. I went to Scott Honda in West Chester, PA. I was quoted 2 prices (1) lease price for a 08 EX-L for 36 months, no money down, payments $347.00 and (2) purchase price for 07 EX w/nav $20, 900, at 4.9% financing for 48 months, payments $420.00. Scott Honda would not neg the price down. I had another dealer (Roberts Honda in Downingtown) quote me a price over the phone for 07 EX w/o nav for $19,200. Are these quotes and payments too high? I have a car voucher from my bank for $20,000, 6.99% APR with 71 months payments @ $371. I would perfer not to use it if I can get a lower monthly payment plan. I really don't want to pay more than $250.00 a month in payments. Any thoughts! Thanks
Leasing 2007 Civic LX
by breslinp on Tue Jan 09 05:48:31 PST 2007
I recently made a trip to Scott Honda, West Chester, PA. I was looking for a new lease for my wife for a Civic LX. Her current lease which she started before we were married is about up so we went to her original salesman. (buy out option is $9150 with a trade in value of $10500) The salesman there give me a monthly payment of $310/month (no money down). When I asked what he is selling me the car for, he stated, "That doesn't figure into lease payments" I also asked for the current money factor, for which he replied, "What is that?" Are my questions valid? I then insisted I needed to know the price of the car in case I wanted to buy it. This sent him into a 10 minute speech on why I should not buy a car. Finally he quoted me a car price of $18,355 (MSRP) then asked us to leave to think about it. I was calm during the whole procedings. Is it me, or is this a weird way to sell a car? This was a little frustrating to me to begin car shopping. I'm going to try Conicelli Honda in Conshocken, PA. Hopefully, they will communicate with me better. 1 question: The currently leased car is slightly over the mileage. If we use the buy out option, are we responsible for the $0.15/mile fee as well? The lease terms are not clear in their writing on this. Thanks everyone! Hope your car shopping goes well.
2006 S2000
by drewpa on Tue Jan 02 08:56:08 PST 2007
I'd like to share my recent buyer experience with you. I just bought a new 2006 S2000 from Scott Honda in West Chester, PA. This is the fourth Honda I've bought from them since May 2004, and I've been very happy with the car-buying experience there. Before I shop there, I get quotes from other dealers in the area. Scott does not seem to participate in the various "get an online quote" services, including the one at Edmunds, but it's the closest Honda dealer for me. They have had a leftover 2006 S2000 on the lot for a while now, and I've been going back and forth on whether to buy it or not. I finally decided to do it on Saturday, 12/30. Here's the final deal: MSRP: $34,600 Invoice: $31,228 Mfr to Dealer Support - $750 Sales Price: $30,222 Taxes: $1813.32 Tags & Dealer Doc Fees: $142.15 Total Out-the-door: $32,177.97 I feel like this was a pretty good deal. Any thoughts? Drew

Replying to my own post: Mine also has painted pinstripes. I didn't realize pinstripes are an option until I read some other posts, and I never even looked at the dealer's window sticker 'cuz I had a firm price before even setting foot on the premises. BTW, I had a quote for $100 less (i.e. $18,900) for a 2WD LX (I don't know if it would've had mud guards and pinstripes) from a dealer about an hour away in West Chester, PA. I decided to spend $100 more to buy from a dealer only a couple of miles away. If nothing else, it probably would've cost $20 in gas just to drive my gas-hog Chrysler minivan to West Chester. :)

jimbres, have you searched in PA also? I live close to West Chester (Philly suburbs), and my MT was not ordered - Scott Honda is a fairly large dealer.
