Happy with my 2009 Touring with RES...
by tour_7 on Tue Aug 19 21:46:25 PDT 2008
It has been a while without checking this board... I purchased a Pilot 2009 Touring with RES (2WD) back in June and I got it for 36,085.00 -- chrome running boards included. If I was to minus out the running boards from the price ($650 based on Honda website) then the price I paid was 35,435 + TTL. My Pilot now has 2,080 miles and I'm loving every minute of it. I guess the only thing I wish was available at that time was the 3.9 financing, but I was lucky to get 4.5 from my credit union. So, 1k or 2k difference really doesn't matter that much when you finance -- the payment difference is not really that much as I see people trying to nickel and dime their deals. I believe prices are not going to change that much until the end of this year, unless you end up with an end of the month super deal (dealer trying to score one last sale before the end of the month). Good luck to all of you trying to nail a deal. If the dealer is not willing to go much off MSRP, go somewhere else! I'm sure you'll find a dealer willing to help you out if they see that you are serious about getting a Pilot. Try the OTD approach with an option or two and be firm, perhaps with a small deposit to show you are serious about it. LOL... I'm yet still waiting to see my Pilot give 23mpg, but I haven't visit my parents up in Jacksonville, FL... that would be a 5 hours drive for me.. but even then I'm not sure if the Pilot can really give us 24mpg...lol... Good hunting... :)

I'm from the Jacksonville, FL area and having been asking around for prices on a 2008 coupe lx-s(polished metal, blue, or black). The lowest prices I've seen are $20,700 and $21,000 so is this a good deal? What should I be going for? Thanks!
Re: 2006 Honda Civic Prices Paid

Purchased a 2006 Honda Civic LX yesterday with 30,000 miles at Duval Honda in Jacksonville, FL for $ 14,000 OTD. They told me the pricing was low due to end of month but I'm not so sure about that? Great sales people and very little pressure. Hope this helps someone and I believe I got a decent deal.

I hit it hard looking for a Ridge middle of this month. I agree with JF's 6/20 post on "how to" using the net. Some will actually quote via net, others just use the web to try & set up a sales appt. A dealer ea in Tampa & Jacksonville pitched a lifetime power train warranty. Maybe if you're top dog in a region your allowed to do so. Something else tells me you're paying for it somewhere but if two deals are the same and one has it - sounds good. Another dealer in Tampa area came back immediately with what seems to be the obligatory $8K off sticker on a RTL. Watch out for the Honda marketing machine full bore at some dealers once you turn them on - relentless. Getting both $8K and 0% or 2.9% financing appears to be a regional thing. We are towards the end of month here and no new postings on what people are getting, should be reports soon. Dealer I went to had about 6 Ridge's out on lot but salesman fessed up to there being 30-40 at off lot storage. One RTL I drove had a 8/07 mfr date on it - wow. This is new ground for Honda, having a huge supply of a vehicle and low demand. Since in better shape financially than most other car makers, maybe they can afford to meter this supply out at currrent discounts & sell rate until year end or beyond. While I dug the Ridge and capability/features, bought a used '08 2 dr Jeep Sahara on Sat - not looking back. Would've been happy with either vehicle, the Jeep just pushed my buttons a little more this time around. Just remember, when at a dealer, it's you against the dealer. They have a knack for making the worst deal sound good. Keep it on the phone & net and it's the dealers against one another - evaluate at your leisure. Happy hunting, month end makes dealers do strange things - hit them hard!
Re: Honda Pilot 2009 - Human Error or Deceptive Tactic? [eke5s]

Lejeune Honda in Jacksonville NC. 2009 EXL 4WD was $32,175 and 2009 EXL 4WD w/RES was $33,782. Also, Autopark Honda in Cary NC matched the offer. You take a little bit off and tell them the other one gave you this price and you want to see if they can beat it or something.( say take anout $200-$300 off the price above and see what they can do

by bcaptain78 on Sat Apr 12 20:52:50 PDT 2008
I live in Jacksonville, FL and I'm willing to pay around $24,500 OTD for an 08 CRV EX AWD. I would even drive to GA or anywhere in FL to pick it up if I get a good deal. Any suggestions?
