Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer
OK. I went to Sport Honda in Silver Spring, MD and went home with a new CR-V EX AWD auto Black on Ivory. I got a great deal and I highly recommend Sport Honda in Silver Spring (3101 Automobile Blvd). There were too many customers buying new automobiles - every sales rep were occupied. ATTENTTION all sales rep and customers- Sport Honda is the place to be. My sales rep, Alex Chan, was dealing with 2 customers at the same time and saw them leave with new vehicles. General Manager, Mike Freedman, was very helpful. Not only he gave me a great deal, he help put on my tags. Sorry people, I cannot provide you the actual out the door price but I know Sport Honda is the best compare to Criswell, Jim Coleman, College Park Honda, and Ourisman Honda in Bethesda. Sport Honda does not install any accessories that you do not want. Unless you want specific accesories on them and they can install them prior to purchase. Other dealers have accesories on their vehicles because it another way of forcing you to pay for them. You cannot have a dealer take off any installed accesories because "it's hard to take them out" one dealer says. Another dealer says "labor cost". For people who are handy, I suggest to but the genuine honda accesories over the Internet. Amen.
howardt55, Wow, someone else is in Northern VA! Who else did you get prices from? Which EX-L did you get? AWD 4WD? with NAV? I live in Alex and go all the way to Koons for service because of one mechanic! When I purchased current 1998 AccordEX I ended up down at Hendrick in Woodbridge. I have had only Hondas for 30 years and drove a 2007 EX-L AWD 4wd today and think it's OK. Doesn't have a number of things I'd hoped for, but it should be reliable since it's a Honda. How do you like yours??? Thanks for any insights.
Hi all, I am looking to buy a 2006 Accord Ex-L (Automatic, 4-cyl, w/o nav) and tried all the internet car sites and went down to a couple of the dealers. The best quote I got is 22,000, including destination charge. It seems that I cannot get the price down any further. I am a new buyer so would love to hear what you think: is this price at least OK? Many thanks! Alex
I ordered from Jay Honda about 10 days ago, was quoted a delivery date of 2/26, get here 6 days earlier. No damage. Picked up in a Hayward terminal (instead of Sunnyvale as they told me originally). But that is OK. One person asked about the name of salesman I talked to. Just in case anybody else want to know, I paid $600 under MSRP via Michael Stoughtone, though Dennis got involved later (I guess he's the one that handle their shipping etc). Before I finalize this deal I contacted some other dealers. San Leandro Honda offered a white LX at 1000 + MSRP. Did not ask about the keyless entry. But Jay Honda was offering that for $179 with their LX which they say is dealer cost. Good luck, -Alex
