Fib, The dealership was MileOne's Heritage Honda of Parkville. Our experience was very pleseant nd as long as you conduct your homework, you should be able to do a good deal.
Said they had it but they don't
by isofitsportnav on Tue Mar 31 19:35:58 PDT 2009
2009 Taffeta White Honda Fit Sport with Nav from Wesley Chapel Honda via their Internet Sales Dept. They told me they have: VIN# JHMGE886X9S060326 Today, I had someone local check if the car actually existed. Shocker - it doesn't. The person there said, "We just sold it today." Is there any way to verify by VIN # if that is true or not? Maybe that's what happened, but this review on FitFreak.net isn't a good sign: http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/honda-fit-dealer-reviews/31622-wesley-chapel-hond- - - a-tampa-fl.html And because last time I bought a car, a lot that was not in writing was a lie, and some of what in writing (figures) contained errors... This is a 2'nd car for me. I'm in no hurry and am willing to travel anywhere in Florida for the right deal (< 20k OTD price + wheel locks). This will also give me time to look at Kia Soul, the 2010 Nissan Cube (so funky looking! ;-), and good used 3-year-olds. (Yes I can be fickle! But this is a 2'nd car!). . . I'll be there (Tampa) Friday & Saturday anyway now. If I search Cars.Com for Taffeta White or Milano Red, is it your experience that their inventory data is reasonably accurate? Again, I'm fine with traveling to get the right deal, though I'd probably want to stay in Florida. If anyone would like to email me recommendations for dealers specifically, or if you know for sure of a dealer with this model in stock, email me at brescianlute at gmail.com In general, how to protect myself from traveling a long distance and then find that the dealer does not have what they said they had?
Re: March 2009 Incentives [jimprofit]

"We've already had one poster state that the incentives for 2008 Honda Odysseys will not be changing which I think is really questionable." LOL, good to know! "There are still quite a few 2008 Odysseys on the lots around here..." There are just seven total Odysseys left in my five state area: Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa. 0 LX's 1 EX (ND) 0 EXL 0 EXL RES 2 EXL R&N (WI and ND) 3 Touring w/PAX (WI, ND and SD) 1 Touring no/PAX (WI) Five states, seven TOTAL vehicles. That hardly seem like "quite a few" but maybe your area is different? Why don't you share with me where you're from and I'll be happy to search. :)
Re: Honda Pilot Lease [golic]

I can confirm the extension lease offer. 24 months with cancelling it at anytime with out advanced notice. The only requirement is the inspection and that the turn in be prior to the next payment. In regards to taxes the Honda FAQ states the following: Extensions Are there any additional fees if I extend my lease? Yes, based on the length of extension and the vehicle is registered. The following states are required to pay non-refundable upfront sales tax IA, ME, NJ, NY, ND, OH, SD, VT. For a leasing question: Dealer offered a 2009 Honda Pilot 4x4 EX-L 39 months, 12K miles, $1,000 down for $415/mo. I don't know the money factor or the cap cost reduction. Sound like a good deal or based on others experience do you think they can go down further? Thanks for the advice.
Re: EX-L Manual 4 cyl in Minneapolis, St. Paul area [munro585]
by mplshondadlr on Mon Aug 25 07:51:41 PDT 2008
I just searched the five state area; MN, IA, WI, ND, SD. and there are no 2008 Accord EXL sedan with manual transmission available. There are only seven 2009 Accord EXL sedan with M/T in that same 5-state search. I dont think at this time you could get a 2009 for $24500.00 OTD. You would probably be closer to the $25.5 neighborhood. If you email everyone in Minnesota, you'll find the one dealer in Minnesota that has on on hand. Good luck and happy shopping ;)
Re: Horrible Buying Experience [tracemiller]

I really am left with a sour taste. The only good thing to come out of it, is I L-O-V-E the car. is this financing calculator a good one? http://www.cars.com/go/advice/financing/calc/loanLeaseCalc.jsp?vpLoan=0&dpLoan=0- &tvLoan=0&stLoan=0&rateLoan=0&termLoan=0&mpLoan=0&tcLoan=0&rate=&microsite=false- &mode=full&flt=n_rval# plugging in the numbers my payment for a 60m finance with a car price of 26500 and 1500 down with a 4.9apr and 6% sales tax is around 500 a month with a lease payment around 390. Those numbers make alot more sense to me. I also used the calculator from a payment perspective using the money factor and residual approximations nd found out they were charging me close to 30000 for the car apparently.
