My experience purchasing 2009 Civic EX sedan automartic with Navi: by sabra on Sun Jul 05 12:16:57 PDT 2009; I live in Charlotte, NC and I did not opt for the EX-L but did get the EX navi/blue tooth and love it. The car had wheel locks and and mud guards and was everything I wanted. With destination I paid 19,700. What really got me to purchase from these folks (Honda of Rock HIll, SC) was they offered me $1000 more on my 2001 caddy than any other dealer who had looked at it, and $2000 more than most. So, I figure I really bought the car for 18,700 or less. We subtracted the trade in price and added the doc fee, tax and license. (I know...people ask why I'd go from a caddy to a Civic...long story but gas and upkeep were two big issues.) My husband and I were at the dealer on the third Sat. of June right before Father's Day in the afternoon and the place was absolutely dead. I don't think they had sold anything all day and seemed especially interested in closing the deal. I didn't think they would take my offer but they did and it went as smooth as silk. I do wish I had bargained for a rear deck lid spoiler and back seat cup holders....but live and learn. Now I'll have to pay full retail if I want them. One question for you enthusiasts...it's so hard to see as you back up in the Civic and was wondering if anyone has added a back up sensor and if Honda does it or you have to find someone else. (Hubby and I can't). I don't need a camera, but the caddy had a sensor that I loved and counted on. If Honda doesn't do it, where do do you recommend I purchase one and have it installed? So scared to let just anyone mess with the new baby! Thanks!

Re: Honda Sport Fit AT in Durham, North Carolina [sunandshine]: by 1234abc on Fri Jul 03 13:12:54 PDT 2009; wow tax is low in NC. i paid 9% tax. they don't make any money for themselves if they sell the car to you for really low. try starting at 17900 otd. if they say no, try somewhere else. if they want you to buy the car they will keep calling you and you keep telling them it is too high. thats how i got my car 17500 otd.

The lowest I got them down to on an EX-L was $27000. Highest I got was $27227. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

EX-L RES: by adam2104 on Thu Jul 02 07:32:58 PDT 2009; I just thought I'd throw my recent purchase onto the list here. My wife and I just picked up an '09 EX-L RES from Crown Honda at Southpoint in Durham, NC, for $28500 + taxes / fees on 6/30/09. The final price worked out to about $29700 out the door. We financed for 60 months at 3.9 %.

Where are you guys finding 09 Pilots: by cndnbkn on Thu Jun 25 18:03:56 PDT 2009; I am in NC and am wondering if anyone has seen a good amount of pilots anywhere between DC and Atlanta. Let me know. Looking for 2wd EX or EXL. Thanks in advance.

Although you might have to pay more, but you get some bragging rights. Your price quote with $19,256 sounds good, with 3% NC tax. I did not do the math, but you may get $19,000 or so and if you really need one try at the end of this month June 30. Just don't lose your mind and keep cool. I bought LX sedan Auto in March 2009 with $19,800 ODT (FL tax 6%) and we all love this car. Happy shopping. Go Gator! :)
