Bought a 2008 EX-L w/ RES tonight. Sent e-mails to 20 dealers in NC (greensboro area, raleigh area, charlotte area, and eastern, nc) and Richmond, VA area on Sunday. Had a good quote from both Leith Honda and Sanford Honda. E-mailed Bob Barbour Honda to see if he would beat it. I walked out the door with $29,793 and the 2.9% rate. Bob Barbour Honda also includes a lifetime powertrain warranty that covers the same components of the 5/60,000 honda powertrain warranty. The price was a $100 less than Leith Honda and about $300 more than Sanford Honda. I felt the extra warranty was worth the extra $300 and I didn't have to make the 90 minute drive to Sanford Honda. e-mail me and I will send you the salesmen's name and e-mail. I am getting $25,072.22 OTD at Sanford, NC Honda Dealer for EX; Is it is good price and how can negotiate a dealer to include splash guards, door edge guards, and cargo tray and cover installed along with 3 free oil change, and 12k checkup in the same price

Just bought EX for $24500 OTD from Sanford Honda in NC. They also quoted EX-L for $27400 OTD. The process was very smooth. Did the paperwork within half an hour, there wasn't even a sales pitch for extended warranty or accessories.

Just bought 2008 EXL from AutoPark Honda for $27800 OTD - no trade in. Used Donkey punch method to get quotes in both MD and NC. Used Laurel Honda quote to get match in Charlotte area, then Charlotte area quote to get price in RTP. Leith/Autopark/Sanford/Crown Greensboro all said they would match/beat. Crown Southpoint said it was couple hundred too low for them. Buying process was great, very low pressure pitch for all the extra warranty/protection items. May have left a few hundred on the table as probably could have pitted Greensboro/Sanford dealers against RTP dealers, but overall am satisfied with the price. Low rate financing was never mentioned and some of the dealers explicitly said it expired at the end of Feb, so must be a regional thing.
2008 Touring no Pax

Just got home from securing my Baltic Blue 2008 Touring NO Pax for $33,872.10. E-mailed 15 dealers this weekend - only 9 responded. Some quotes were just down right ridiculous (I'll sell you the car you want for $500 OVER invoice - ummm, I don't think so!) Best price was from my local dealer (Bryan Honda in Fayetteville, NC) by $350 from the next closest price when adding in the options). $33,872.10 2008 Honda Touring w/o Pax $399 doc fee (UGH - that wasn't even the highest I was quoted!) They were also the most aggressive on the options I wanted. I'm thinking I did well, so I'm happy with the outcome. Other quotes I received (car + dest.) AutoPark Honda Cary $34,165 Sanford Honda $34,249 Leith Honda $34,403 Burlington Honda $34,879 Asheboro Honda $35,045 ($489 doc fee!!) Tim Marburger Honda $35,249 ($499 doc fee!!) Hubert Vester Honda $35,400 Crown Honda Southpoint $35,926
