Re: 2012 Odyssey EX-L w/ RES and options - good deal? [jjc0821] by tommylaws1 on Sat Feb 04 18:53:55 PST 2012

This is not a direct match but two months ago, I was looking at 2012 Odyssey EXL's with Nav and the best price I found at two dealerships with the lifetime power train warranty was $34,075 BUT, I hadn't included the things you did. One of the useful tools I found was to go up on USAA.com (there are other sites if you are not a USAA member...for military) and they ask you for your zip code. Since I began in the early fall and was traveling from our house in eastern NC, to one of our daughters houses in Pittsburgh, PA and then to my brothers house in Western NY state outside of Buffalo is that if you enter various zip codes, you will get very, very different pricing from these 'direct dealer quotes'. If you want to spend some time on putting in say 10-20 zip codes from different major areas/cities, you may see what I did, VASTLY different pricing, which is EXACTLY how I discovered the 34,075 price fo the EX-L w/Navi. Also, by doing it this way, you can 'build/price' your EXACT Odyssey on line and then, sit back and wait for them 'to come to you' with a price and then play them against each other.

2012 CR-V EX 2wd by segerfan on Tue Jan 31 20:18:40 PST 2012

Bought 2012 CR-V EX 2WD, White Diamond Pearl, in NC for $23,600 including mud flaps, wheel locks, pinstripes and cargo tray. Could have gotten better but ran out of patience. Had to order to get white in EX. In my area, EXLs are plentiful but EXs are not. EXLs are very nice, don't need leather in my commuter, decided to forgo Nav since I have Garmin and Nav on phone, and didn't get AWD since I have 4wd in larger SUV. EX is well appointed for daily driver, only wish it had a power driver seat; Honda missed the mark there. Enjoying the car, find it quieter than previous models, and has enough power for my needs.

2012 Odyssey EX-L no navi, no RES by ringer1 on Mon Jan 02 15:29:38 PST 2012

Bought a 2012 EXL (no nav, no RES) last week in Winston-Salem, NC. Price paid for vehicle was $32760 (does not include doc fees or tax, tag, title). I did finance 0.9% for 36 mos. Was told Honda receives a $250 incentive if you finance so it allows them some negotiation room if you finance instead of paying cash - didn't matter how much or how little down payment you wanted to put on it. I had no trade-in either. Thanks to those on this site. It helped me establish what I thought was a fair price.

Re: Touring Lease [matchbox1] by lease_o_buy on Thu Dec 29 13:50:08 PST 2011

Hi, Just to compare, after back and forth haggling, I was given $590 for 2012 Touring Elite, 36 m, 12 k, 0 OOP in NJ but not signing yet. So $1,500 dwn and $500/m for the Touring doesnt sound bad. Someone from NC got the Elite for $510/m and that is excellent but given the MF, RV, etc, $510 is hard to reach. I would like to know who else got a similar great lease deal in either NY or NJ.

Re: 2012 EXL W/NAV $36500 OTD [samaneesh] by tommylaws1 on Sun Dec 25 11:25:52 PST 2011

Best price I found was at two places: the first was $34,007 for a 2012 EX-L w/Navi was at Western Branch Honda, in Suffolk, VA. Ray Solis (757) 867-3130 was the rep & they offered the unlimited power train warranty. However, this price was 'offered' to be matched by a sales rep (haven't bought yet) at Bob Barbour Honda, in Greenville, NC. However, I did NOT get the 'Barbour' price in writing, and I don't have the sales reps name with me (I'm in NY for for the holidays). They also offered the same warranty BUT I never got it in writing. I spent about an hour sitting in a 2012 Honda EX-L at the Bob Barbour lot, using the voice activated Nav (it also runs other stuff, like heating, a/c) in order to see how 'user friendly it is). I have a Kenwood voice activated non-factory system in my 2008 Toyota Sienna and it doesn't control temperatures, a/c like the Honda BUT, I'm not super impressed with the voice activation of the Honda because it appears to be very limited in finding POI's plus its $200 a year for the upgrades to the maps, however, there IS one thing I do like and that is the very recessed screen of the Navi system, since it blocks most of the sun that washes out my screen. When I do buy, it will probably be in the spring and it will definitely be a Honda.
