Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer

NY Honda Car Consumer Discussions

Prices paid on a 2011 Accord Ex-L V6 in White Plains, NY by bze_it on Wed Aug 10 01:32:25 PDT 2011

$27,635 including destination charge In White Plains. OTD = $30,375 which included 8.875% NY sales tax plus TL. Yonkers has the same car (2011 Accord EXL-V6) for $26,459 quoted price (w/o TTL) and a Accord Ex-L V4 for $24,850 quoted price (w/o TTL) but must finance through dealer - unsure if the two prices include destination charges. Honda Auto Plaza in Brooklyn, NY made statements that they can match or beat the above prices. Watch out for the finance guy who will try to reap back in profit. Be on the lookout for the after sell of $2000 plus honda care extended warranty which they will try and sneak in without your knowledge on your paperwork if you are not careful.

2010 Accord LX automatic by jwkim on Wed May 19 06:38:38 PDT 2010

Got it this Monday at 18K OTD after $2500 trade in. I could pull more by taking advantage of dealer's incentive. I made a purchase at Yonkers Honda, NY through internet sale department. I've been in the market since January and finally the search is over. After several email communications with the rep it took a couple of hours to get an appraisal, price and paper work done. Overall pretty satisfied.

My deal by deepressman on Fri Apr 02 16:07:18 PDT 2010

I got a deal on the EX (no extras) for 26448 plus taxes and dmv. This was by playing two dealerships against each other. The only catch was I had to settle for an in stock color, which was no big deal for me. It was Yonkers Honda vs Honda of New Rochelle (NY, westchester county).

Re: Deals on LX, EX, or EX-L in Washington State [leto123] by nassakeag on Mon Aug 03 17:10:22 PDT 2009

Leto, you really got a fantastic deal on your EXL 4WD for 24,500 esp if mats are included. The best price I could find was 25,354 (Bronx Honda) in the NY area and I was quoted 25,710 (White Plains Honda and Tarrytown Honda) 26,052 (DCH Honda) and 25,495 from Yonkers Honda. However, I am doing a cash for clunkers deal and therefore was over a barrel and they knew it. I hope this deal will end up saving the consumers money because it's hard to get the best price when you must do the deal immediately.

2010 EX and EXL Invoice Prices by schkathrob on Fri Jul 31 06:26:50 PDT 2009

I am new to these boards. An accident (no one hurt) earlier this week in our 11 yr old Dodge Grand Caravan has pushed us to replace the car. We were only going to keep it another year or two, anyway. So we're going to replace it now rather than putting any money into repairs. We would like to get a new 2009 EX, but they are in very short supply where we live - Westercher County NY. It is looking like we may have to buy a 2010. I can't find the invoice price anywhere. We got one online quote so far from Yonkers for $27,950. I don't know if that is a good price. Something else we're considering - if the C4C gets more funding really soon - is trading the old car in under the program for an EXL. The EX doesn't qualify with the mileage, but the EXL would because it is rated 20 mpg. It seems like it would be about a wash with the $3500 we would get back and the higher price for the EXL. Is that true? What I really need is the invoice price for the 2010 EX and EXL and some guidance on what would be a good price to pay for either one. Thanks so much for any feedback.
