I am going to Paragon tomorrow and let you all know if I get a good deal. They have a few 2008 Odyssey EXL left. Have anyone shop at paragon Honda before?

Don't you feel suspicious of there's a brand new 2005 Pilot still around? Why can't they sell this car for the past 3 years? There will be a lot of questions to ask and check anything wrong with this car. Of course a test drive is needed before any offer is offered. In EBay Motor I found a 2005 Pilot in "New" section which is in NY. However this car has lots of mileage. It should be a mistake. Honda Civic EXL/Nav from Paragon, Woodside, NY

Paragon told me they would match a price of $23,397.98 for an '08 Honda Civic EXL/Nav. However at the dealership they added fees bringing the price to over $24,400. Even with $10K downpayment, they told me financing would be close to $500 for 36 mo at 1.9%. They presented a lease deal of 36 mo w/$3,000 down and $340 mo. payment. Please let me know what you think of this. Thank you.

I have never heard of requesting a deposit for running credit check. Some dealer charge $50 for a credit check refundable if you end-up buying or leasing the vehicle. I don't know anything about leasing in NY but the price quote I got are as following: Manhattan: $29,000 P.S. Honda: $31,500 Valley Stream: $28,100 Woodside: $28,800 Bay Ridge: $??,??? (didn't ask) That's with about 5 minutes talking to the sales person. I hate negotiation and I am not too good at it. :P Good luck! P.S. All price include $595 dest.charge.

Hi, I also live in Long Island. I first went to the Valley Stream Honda Dealer and was quoted $28,100 (must be picked from their lot and only one is available - not my color too) when I walked out the door and the salesman is yelling and screaming he's losing money on that deal. Then I emailed PS Honda in Manhasset and they quoted me MSRP, period. Then I went to the Woodside Queens Honda dealer and they quoted $28,795. I told them I can get one from Carsdirect for $28,400 but they won't match. Thanks to this forum, someone suggested Open Road Honda's online price quote and I tried it and got my Ody the next day for $27,495. For trade-in: My 2005 Altima SE w/ 15K miles; minor dings. KBB: $15,000 Good condition. Valley Stream: $15,000 Woodside: $15,500 Open Road: $14,900 P.S. All price mentioned above included dest.

I am at the verge of buying a new Honda Accord. I tried Edmunds.com to get dealer quotes. Unfortunately majority of dealers in NY/NJ area refuse to provide internet/phone quotes. They keep emailing you promotional material and want you to come to the dealership. Some are really bad even on phone. My worst experiences were with the following dealers (stay away from these). Route 22 Honda, Hillside, NJ, they had very unprofessional sales persons answering the phone, you wonder if they even do any business! Paragon The House Of Honda, Woodside, NY (after agreeing to beat a competing deal, they reported they did not have any cars for the particular style)!
