HELP PLEASE

i have a few questions.. im in the Bronx, NY looking to get into a Honda Accord Coupe before the end of the year.. Really looking into the EX-L (4 cylinders).. How much should i expect to be paying on a lease?.. My budget is around $350-400 for a monthly payment.. and when should i go? end or beginning of the month? does that effect the price? any advice before i go to the dealer and sign on a lease since its my first experience with buying a car.

Leto, you really got a fantastic deal on your EXL 4WD for 24,500 esp if mats are included. The best price I could find was 25,354 (Bronx Honda) in the NY area and I was quoted 25,710 (White Plains Honda and Tarrytown Honda) 26,052 (DCH Honda) and 25,495 from Yonkers Honda. However, I am doing a cash for clunkers deal and therefore was over a barrel and they knew it. I hope this deal will end up saving the consumers money because it's hard to get the best price when you must do the deal immediately.

I emailed about 15 dealers asking for their best price including all the fees, taxes, etc. Some of the dealers didn't respond at all, I received quotes ranging from $17,184 to $18,430. I chose the dealer with the lowest combined fees, Babylon Honda. Bronx Honda also appeared to be a good deal but they didn't have silver in stock. Paramus Honda was also very attractive because they had pretty competitive prices and a number of benefits for internet customers such as free key replacement....HOWEVER, at the end of the day I went with the lowest price. Here's from my bill of sale from Babylon Honda: 17,269.00 LX AT Civic (includes destination charges) 1,273.59 Sales tax 130.00 NY Registration Fees 67.50 Document Fee/Waste Tire Fee 18740.09 TOTAL INCLUDING TAX Quite a bit of variance in dealer fees. The information below is correct to the best of my knowledge. In cases where the dealership didn't respond about NY DMV fees, I used the highest quoted fee of $228, so the actual fee may be less. I just filled her up yesterday. I think I got ~22 mpg, but it's hard to say because I don't really know exactly how much was in the tank. Will have a better indication with this next tank. Frankly, this is what I expected since most of my driving was in the city.
