I called there internet dept and spoke to the manager George . He gave me a leasing price and informed me they only had 2 left instock. I gave him a deposit over the phone and picked the Pilot up that night. The process took less than an hour. I was very pleased with the service. I went to planet honda a few days before and got jerked around. I would tell all my friends to use Vip Honda they treat you with great respect

NJ Odyssey EX-L NAV/RES buying report: by gmccr on Thu May 01 20:41:11 PDT 2008; Great forum - allowed me to pull the trigger faster than I expected to. Got what looks to be great deal from VIP Honda, North Plainfield, NJ from MC (great guy! - really knows cars) 30803 price w/ the 2.9% Financing, would be $1000 less Cash price. 1195 for 120k/8 yr warranty (thanks again to a post) 31998 total, went out the door with 635 destination 2284.31 nj sales tax 7.50 nj tire fee 366.00 reg/title 299.00 doc fee 35589.81 out the door but the most amazing thing was the sales process; simply got the car, let us take a pair of test drives, came back in, would not budge from the above price, and we did the deal - could have taken less than an hour if we wanted to. The F&I guy didn't even try to sell us an alarm system, and only blinked once when I asked him to reduce the warranty to what I ended up paying. No visits to the manager, no searching the lot for the car (they keep all their Odyssey's together). Perhaps they wanted to get me out the door quickly on April 30th, but it was great. Got in after 7pm, and was driving home before 10pm. This is way different than what I went through a few days before at Planet Honda, who took me through the lot for an hour looking for a car that I'm sure they knew was not there. Then, after finding it "coming in" took a deposit for about the same price, but then on the sheet conveniently forget to figure in the destination charge, or that the price was good with the 2.9%, and added back in the $200 etching. And of course, put in the car would sell "as equipped" I saw many $895 bluetooth add-ins on a lot of EX-L's on their lot.

I got the same price, within $50 from 3 dealers who had the color combo that I wanted. OTD with 7% NJ tax = $30646. The 3 dealers were VIP-S.Plainfield; Clinton and Paramus. I also checked Joyce - Denville, Route 23 and Planet (Rt 22) - who quoted $1000 higher. I have to say that the sales experience, most done by email, telephone and fax was fine until actually having to come to the dealer to sign the papers and pick up the car. Different forum, different post.

You may want to try getting quote thru carsdirect, use 07076 area code, that is my area code. Good luck, I know they are selling quite a few. Had to pay 300 on top of the 28,660 for them to locate the color I wanted. From the time I received quote and when I went there (2 days), they went from having 5 colors in stock to only 1 color in stock for EXL w/ Nav. Let us know how you make out. I will be picking mine up early next week, can't wait!
