Re: Prices in Northern NJ? [cdb51862]
by lucky620 on Mon Mar 24 06:22:20 PDT 2008
Recently purchased an 08 V6 Accord coupe w/navi in north jersey for $27,300 including destination fees. Did initial shopping through online requests to Paul Miller/West Essex Honda, DCH Honda-Paramus, and Hudson Honda. Hudson Honda was over the sticker, DCH was $28,+ and Paul Miller came in at $27,300. Did my in-person dealing with Rt 23 Honda in Pompton Plains and Garden State Honda in Clifton. Ended up in Garden State Honda with deal and 1/2 price on Honda remote starter. Good luck!!

I found that Paul Miller/Essex Honda came in with the lowest internet quote and was helpful in my negotiations, (in person), leading to me buying my 08 V6 w/Navi, auto coupe last week at Garden State Honda, (Rt 3 West, Clifton, NJ) for $27,300, no dest. charge, only after charge was the NJ Tax, (around $1900), $299. dealer doc fee, $255 NJ DMV, plates and Reg. I found that Hudson Honda was above sticker on an internet quote, DCH Honda in Paramus was $28530 + $635 destination, $199 Doc fees, NJ Tax, NJ DMV fees. Ended up at Garden State for purchase mostly because of the salesman and closeness to home. Route 23 Honda, (found them to be a pleasant experience and willing to work with me), almost had the deal but Garden State beat them by $200 plus threw in 1/2 price on Honda Factory Remote Starter. The advantage of the online prices is that you have something on paper to work with if you are going to enter face to face negotiations. I backed up my online quotes with phone calls to those dealers to see if they were true quotes. PS: if you are considering the extended warranty you can get them online from a couple different Honda dealers for almost 1/2 price. I got a 72/120 0 deductible for $815 from Bernardiwarrany.com. Reportedly this is coming to an end at the end of the month when Honda stops all dealers from selling online.
Latest Incentives on Ridgelines

Hi All, I recently started an all out quest for quotes in the NJ/NYC area. I noticed most honda dealers not all will use the traditional method of selling the car. Simply put, they place a middle man who has no power of making the deal or numbers. Their job is to make you act on impulse. Enough of that. Being a currrent America Honda Finance Customer, I was able to get rates on the Ridgeline. I confirmed that their is a 1,125 Lease case to dealer that is running until 4/3/2008. Lease factor remains at .00102 or 2.44 APR. (Not bad rate) I expected lower. I am heading to Garden State Honda in clifton to work on a deal. Keep you all posted on details.

Car was $27,300 they did not charge the destination charge, I closed out the deal and got the car this afternoon. Final cost was the 27,300...299 documents....$27599 then $368 for the Honda Remote starter,(1/2 price) and NJ Tax at 7%, ($1900+) and $255 for plates and registration and don't forget the $7.50 tire tax! Total for everything came to $30,014 OTD. Garden State Honda, Route 3, Clifton, NJ
Re: 2008 CRV EXL w/NAV in NY/NJ [trinity3]
by love_luv on Thu Feb 21 06:51:08 PST 2008
My car broke down while I was in a search of a new car. As a result I was on rental for week and I was desperate to get a new car. I bought Honda CR-V EX AWD from Paramus, NJ on Feb 20, 2008. Dealer was offering me invoice price 23092 + 7% NJ tax + Doc & Tire Fee (206.5) + Registration Fee (234$) About 4-5 days ago I walked out on the deal putting an offer of 22K + + 7% NJ tax + Doc & Tire Fee (206.5) + Registration Fee (234$) They said they can do something like 22.5K + + 7% NJ tax + Doc & Tire Fee (206.5) + Registration Fee (234$) I declined it. Then I visited Mawah Honda, TerryTown Honda, Nanuet Honda, Jersey City Honda, Clifton Honda...... ALl of them said deal is too good to be true and I should buy from them if they really offer me that. All them said max they can do is Invoice or 100$ over invoice. No other accessories etc So i decided to buy at 22.5K + + 7% NJ tax + Doc & Tire Fee (206.5) + Registration Fee (234$) When i went to the dealer they backed out. They said best they can do is 22.9K + 7% NJ tax + Doc & Tire Fee (206.5) + Registration Fee (234$) Since I was running rental car for almost a week and i have some other family issue, I didn't get chance to bargin much then. I took the deal. Its 200$ under invoice. Worst part is dealership was offering some Internet special like free key replacement etc. They declined to honor that. My total was 24940$ for 2008 Honda CR-V EX AWD. My bad... but thats ok. I am suppose to buy another car in next 3-4 months. I think I will do better shopping. Sales person and business manager were good. However Sales Manager "Moe" in paramus dealership was very rude, dishonest. I hope this helps. Please let me know if its a good deal or not so I can be careful for my next purchase.
Seems to be a shortage of V6 Accord Auto w/Navi
by lucky620 on Wed Feb 20 04:17:00 PST 2008
I was at DCH Honda in Paramus, NJ yesterday and they had no 08 V6 Auto Coupes VCM/w-Navi on the lot or to show. Said they are expecting some to come next week sometime. Honda in Clifton, NJ had 2 08 V6 Auto Coupes w/Navi , one on the floor and one downstairs. Route 23 Honda, (Pompton Plains, NJ), had no 08 V6 Auto Coupes w/Navi. I test drove a 4dr 08 V6 Sedan w/Auto w/Navi at Rt 23 and found the car to perform well without a problem with the VCM. The salesperson said they are getting them in but slowly and most are already under contract as they come in. He said the V6 6-speed stick is easier to get and keep on the lot. He is finding that the 08 Coupe V6 w/Navi, black on black is the hardest one to get and the most demanded. The lack of available V6 Accord Auto Coupes w/navi is not going to help negotiations. Anyone from the NE area have similar experiences finding a 08 V^ Auto w/Navi? What are the OTD prices?
