Buying a car from a Honda Car Dealer

NJ Honda Car Consumer Discussions

Re: Touring Elite for $40,437 (tax and tags extra) [nayigadi] by desertkev on Mon May 16 16:35:59 PDT 2011

Philipsburg NJ - Ask for Doris in Internet Sales - may not get a price that good as there really does seem to be less and less of these Elites. I found a cheaper price, but no car, so I was not willing to take a gamble anymore - the car is one sweet ride - I'd compare it to the Mercedes R Class, only bigger, better and cheaper!!! If I was in TX and going to be able to buy one for $3k less in NJ, I would get me a cheap flight in and buy one on the East Coast. If it takes you a few days in travel, it's worth it - unless you make more than $3k a week at work.

Accord SE 2011 price paid in NJ/NY/CT/PA by alponj on Mon Apr 25 20:27:30 PDT 2011

Folks, is nobody purchasing on the east coast? Please share your experiences. What was your OTD price. Breaking the price by state taxes, destination fee, other doc fees is appreciated.

Re: 2011 Pilot Touring 4WD [njpaindoc] by imdidiot on Sat Jan 15 13:24:06 PST 2011

2011 4wd touring for $36,500 in NJ (North East) is a fantastic price considering current posts. Share the knowledge brother doc!!! MA, CT, NY, NJ, and others are "pain" ~$1500 more!!! You...., You... You... you did good...

Re: 2009 Honda Accord Coupe Purchase Price [tinypatch] by dads4gals on Tue May 12 18:15:48 PDT 2009

That sounds like a great deal. What dealership did you get it from?

Re: 09 EX automatic sedan pricing [sphl] by civic09 on Fri Jan 02 19:44:43 PST 2009

Sphl --- west cost may be higher - but east at coast you can get 09 EX automatic at low18k. Few desperate honda dealers from NJ, NYC area quoted me 18,050. That included destination and all junk fees but tax and dmv. The only catch was to “colors in stock” – out-dealers trades would cost little more. But it seems like everybody has plenty of stock. I would wait few weeks. I heard that used market went south in November/December of 08. Friend of mine goes to Manheim Used cars sales auctions – he showed me reports from those auctions. Used 08 Civics EX auto are selling between 12k to 14k depending on miles (low teens to low twenties miles). 08 LX were sold even 2k cheaper. I think new car market will follow next. He even showed me few civic 09 EX repossessed sold at auctions for low 15 with very low miles. Honda will probable drop the price and rates, Toyota and Nissan already did. Stay tuned…
