Dumb 25k ;-): by daman2 on Thu Jan 24 21:00:40 PST 2008; Thanks for the info. However, I did not just pick the number. I searched the Internet for advertised deals. Berlin City Honda in Gorham, NH is offering the 08 Pilot VP 4x4 for $24,977, http://www.berlincity.com/images/Catalogs/bcfhonda.pdf. Yet, knowing most dealerships will say if I want that deal I can drive all the way to NH to get it. I am in WI so that is not going to happen. I will try to get them down on the price. Yet, I am OK with paying the special lease price.

To aid in others in finding current market price this is our story: LX AWD no options - tango red paid $20,888 incl dest. but not TTL Last weekend when in Vermont we got a free copy of the local paper when food shopping and a Honda dealers flyer was inserted for the weekend. There it was an LX for $20888, I call and find out it was one of the two colors we decided upon and the dealership was in New Hampshire. After a 2 1/2 drive we test drove and decided to pull the trigger. But - we didn't have our checkbook - wanted to deposit with credit card - dealer didn't accept that. Strange. Will hold for us. We left with that uneasy feeling that with no contract it could be sold out from us. Anyway, after arranging for insurance and getting monies transferred we hasten back yesterday and traded our '01 Tribute with cash for LX. Deal was easy with no pressure and gimmicks. Being from New Jersey you get suspecious of dealers and the tricks they use...however, I must say that Berlin City Honda in Gorham, NH was for us a good trip and I think a decent deal considering the local dealers here are at or above MSRP. One dealer in Toms River had posted MSRP plus a $1500 mark-up about 2 months ago. Perhaps now the prices are normalizing, but it pays to travel to get that deal...

2007 Pilot EX-L $29,899 Plus tax, title, tags in VT: by vtgreen87 on Thu Sep 21 07:41:55 PDT 2006; I began my search a few weeks to late to get the great deals on the 2006 Pilots. Cash to dealer is now $2,500 instead of $3,000 and no low rate financing. I was all set to buy a 2006 Pilot EX-L in silver for $26,999 plus tax, title, and doc fees from Berlin City in NH. Dealt with the Internet Sales Manager there. Turns out the car on their website had been in an accident! Car is still on website under new inventory! What a crock! Then we saw their flyer in our local newspaper advertising a 2006 Pilot EX-L-RES in silver for $28,388. We called and the NH folks said the car was not there and was now in Maine. Called the Maine Berlin City folks and they said they have a car like that but a different stock number than advertised and would not honor the ad price! The wanted $29,419! Another Crock! Their ad is still up - beware of these bait and switch scams. They did offer $29,899 on a 2007 Pilot EX-L in gray metallic, plus delivery fee to VT of $125, and doc fee of $139 even though we would have to pay sales tax in VT and do registration and tags ourselves. Another Honda dealer in Vermont, Carbone Honda had a similar 2007 Pilot EX-L in gray metallic and met the price of $29,899. They did not charge the delivery or doc fees. Carbone Honda folks were professional, straight forward and no funny business. Dealt by phone with the Internet Sales Manager. I highly recommend them. I have bought other Honda's previously from Berlin City and rec'd a good price and treatment. I have no idea what has changed over there but this experience was a joke. :mad:

2006 Accord EX V6 6MT (no navigation) for $23,875: by vtwonder on Mon Jul 31 10:30:44 PDT 2006; I have been reading this forum for about two months to keep up with the latest pricing. Finally picked up the Accord from Friendly Honda in Pougkeepsie, NY last Saturday. I lived in VT but local dealer Automaster was asking for $25,000 (include destination but not doc fee). I had to travel down to Pok last weekend for personal business, so that does not end up to be an extra trip for me. Selling price: $23,799 Doc fee: $45.00 NY state fee and Transient plate to VT: $31 Total: $23,875 I asked for several quotes through the Internet. Berlin City from NH gave me a quote of 23,799. I emailed Friendly Honda and asked them to match since I had to travel to Pok anyway. One of the salesman called me and said they would match -- it's that straightforward, no hassle. Just want to thank all the folks posting here for sharing all the information to make me a more educated buyer.

Pilot EX 4WD price quote: by stakeout on Tue Jun 06 17:21:10 PDT 2006; just got inflated email price quote on Pilot 4wd EX cloth for 28300...with 511 mo lease 15K/yr $0 down... same vehicle on site at Berlin Honda in NH selling for 25599... now we'll see if the first quote from dealer that came thru ..my local dealer.. will stand by their ..."We guarantee the lowest possible price on every new Honda model"... this should be interesting.. if he matches will buy it from him tomorrow.. wife turns in her T-Blazer tomorrow afternoon...
