Honda Fit Sports AT - Las Vegas, NV: by yuihong on Wed Jul 01 09:54:51 PDT 2009; Since not much post is within the Nevada states I thought I'd share my Fit purchase experience with you guys. Got my Fit yesterday and the OTD was $18000. Know it wasnt the cheapest around but there's only 4 Hondas around so there isnt much competition. We first went to Findlay Honda and the sales agreed an OTD $17900 but when we get there they wanted $18050. And I think, screw it and walked straight out. I'v been negotiating through e-mail to another dealership, Desert Honda, and their best price was $18130. Called them up and told them if they could do $18000 I will go there and buy right now. They say no problem but only white is available. That's what I wanted anyway so went there straight away. And when I got there the Fit has already got its windows tinted so I wont complain about that! Because I am a first time buyer they wanted 10.9% interest at first even I have an excellent credit score! After lots of negotiating we were able to get it down to 6.9%. Here's a breakdown of the OTD: Selling Price: $ 16279.62 Sales Tax: $ 1292.63 Title fee: $ 28.25 Documentation:$ 399.5 Total: $18000 (with tinted windows)

Purchased 2007 Pilot EX-L 4WD with NAV for $32K: by ed108 on Mon Nov 27 11:08:54 PST 2006; Purchased for $32,000 + TTL which was about $500 below invoice. Probably could have gone a few hundred lower if I was willing to wait. In central Texas where I live, 4WD EX-L with NAV are hard to find apparently. I called every dealer within 70 miles and there were only 3 available between all of them last week. A couple said they'd dealer trade for me but since the closest vehicles were 400-500 miles away they'd charge me a delivery fee. So I figured $500 below invoice is decent and bought one. The same dealer where I purchased was willing to sell one without NAV for $30K + TTL. Doc fees were $45. I have read some of the other messages where people pay $300 doc fees. That is insane. A doc fee is pure profit for the dealer. This would be like going to Best Buy, buying a $2000 TV and then getting charged a $20 "Ringing you up at the cash register fee". Any time a dealer tells me there is a doc fee(or any other non-state/county mandated fee) for over $100 I walk out the door.
