Re: Touring Lease Question [epha] by calhungster on Tue Aug 21 10:28:10 PDT 2007

Greeting Epha - Did you ever get an answer on your question because I am looking to purchase the same vehicle and conditions (except that I live in Henderson, NV) as the one you posted. I could really use some advise on this. If you already pulled the trigger, how much did you ended up paying? Thanks!! :)

So close...yet so far. by sn0zc0r3 on Tue Jun 26 17:49:27 PDT 2007

I'm looking to buy a Honda Fit early next month and have actually (I believe) priced out a great deal at Honda West near Henderson, NV. Using Edmunds info and financing calculator, he agreed to a Manual Fit Sport at $15,400 with a $2000 down payment and 4.5% APR for 60 months. However, he hasn't heard when they're getting any more in stock. Considering this is my first new car (heck, my first car EVER), I'm a little disappointed/frustrated. Is there anything I can do?

Help buying a CRV by rroosendaal on Sat May 14 17:45:42 PDT 2005

Can anyone tell me what I should offer for a 2005 SE CRV? The salesman quoted me 25, 600 but said nobody pays that and to make an offer, he likes giving things away. OK....already the flags go up with him, so where do I start. He also says that he doesn't make money on the car and then laughs, that he gets paid for "not" selling cars. (Really?) More flags. The invoice according to bluebook is 23, 836. Where do I go from there and what do I do? Any suggestions? TIA.....Rita I am in Las Vegas

Re: TMV question--04 Civic EX 4dr AT [fractus2 #980] by fractus2 on Sat Apr 17 14:01:24 PDT 2004

I started shopping around after the internet sales reneged on the security system out of the deal and lo and behold, in comes a sweeter offer from a different dealer: EX - $16,294.33 Fees - $617 Tax - $1222.07 Total - $18133.40 I'm going with this guy.

yoonakawrn, Here is what he replied when asked what the dealer fees covered: "Standard dealer fees, like buying a house. The breakdown is $399 Documentation; $199 VTR (Vehicle Theft Registration); $28 Title Fee." He now backed out of the Honda security system in the deal. He says that "we have not mentioned the security system for a while now" and is adamant in dropping it. I was/am pretty p'd. But what can I do? I fly/drive there next Thursday and I think I let go too much information in giving him my itinerary, which I did as a good faith to let him know that I was serious. I plan on going with this deal though. I will print out all of the e-mails where he reneged on the $299.00 system and speak with his supervisor. Wish me luck!
