FWD is front wheel drive only. 4WD is all wheel drive. Big difference in price and resale value if you live in the NE part of the country. I think 4WD is at least $2,000 more on MSRP.

I am in Omaha, NE. There're 4 honda dealers here. Seems very easy to negotiate. One dealer even gave me $21,150. Don't know how much lower I can get from his competitor. From your post, I decided my bottom line is $21,000, but it seems it's not that hard to achieve.
Are California Residuals different
by socal_bbfan on Sun Nov 08 09:57:19 PST 2009
Hello, We went through a "special" warehouse buying program recently and got pricing on a 2010 EX-L with NES as well as with NES and Nav. The pricing was ok, but not exciting. However, the residuals on a 36 mos, 12 K lease were lower than I see here...only 48% for either version although financing was .00139. The dealer didn't even want to quote us a 24 or 30 month lease option--we are leasing while we wait for the next major upgrade in 2011. Is the residual lower because we are in California...or was the dealer picking a place to make the deal sweeter for himself? Thanks!
Fatigued Shopper

For what its worth, we surveyed this forum for months. We just missed the heavy June discounts on the 09 models. We debated and finally decided to get a used 07 instead of the new 10. By doing this we saved roughly 10K and got ourselves an excellent looking and driving minivan. We still get the Warrantee (and almost went with the Saccucci Honda Care)...the dealer ship matched their online price. Every dealer in our area (NE) tried to pull crap with us...except for Curry Honda in Chicopee MA. If you are buying in the MA/CT area, consider Curry. Other than updating their really nasty bathrooms, they have pleasant enough folks who seem to be straighter shooters than those in the area.
2010 EX-L and EX-L with RES
by comer98 on Wed Oct 21 18:58:35 PDT 2009
Hi, I am looking at leasing a 2010 EX-L or EX-L RES. Anyone have the October residuals and money factors for 36 mos, 10k and 12k miles? Thanks in advance!
Re: Seriously thinking about CRV - anyone have true invoice costs? [bairdjc]

It would be on Edmunds or kbb. Though they may vary by a hundred or so. I am considering waiting for the 2010s now myself. It will have a larger armrest, a compass, auto off headlights, and 14 more h.p. I really like auto off headlights. I have them now on my 2000 Pathfinder and can't imagine living w/o them. Some guy was recently visiting a neighbor across the street. He has that small Acura, CL I think. Anyway, he left the lights on. I tried knocking on the door, but I suspect these two were up to something unnatural, LOL. Anyway, dead battery when he came out about 4 hrs later. He said it was a new battery too, and it had happened a couple of times with the old one. You would think a late model Acura would have auto off. I mean, c'mon, they put it on the 2000 Pathfinder LE! I also like a compass. There have been times when I've been out on the road on a trip or something, somewhere you've never been before. You may know the route number, but you're not sure if you're going W-SW or E-NE or whatever. Could just be a big time saver in unfamiliar areas, if you're not using GPS. If you look back a page or two you can find the link that someone posted for the 2010 Honda CRV press release, or maybe you can just Google it. The delaers I spoke to are saying late October/early November. Someone else also posted back a page or two that any new Honda will go for 1200-1500 over invoice, or about $900-1200 more than an '09. He was pricing Odysseys and found that to be the case. I don't think that's such a big difference considering what you're getting. The center armrest on the '09 is very narrow. I don't think torque is improved, but the 14 h.p. might help on the highway where this car is underpowered.
