I am in Omaha, NE. There're 4 honda dealers here. Seems very easy to negotiate. One dealer even gave me $21,150. Don't know how much lower I can get from his competitor. From your post, I decided my bottom line is $21,000, but it seems it's not that hard to achieve.

Hi, I am looking at leasing a 2010 EX-L or EX-L RES. Anyone have the October residuals and money factors for 36 mos, 10k and 12k miles? Thanks in advance!

After searching a five state area (KS,OK, MO,NE,IA), I found an 09 EXL with RES in white in Omaha NE. It was the only one like it in this region. Must be that the economy is slightly better in the midwest than the coasts but I could not negotiate the $30,500 range being reported on the east coast. I chose to go ahead with the 09 vs. 10 because of the incentive and Honda is not really upping production on these vans, plus the 10s are $500 more. I ended up paying without taxes including the "doc" fee $31,298. I got exactly what I wanted and 6 or 7 years down the line the 09 vs. 10 won't be much different in resale or the $1,000 I missed out on negotiating lower 3 months ago will be long forgotten...now just gotta find some all-weather mats and child seat protection for the awesome leather.. BTW..dealt with ODaniel Honda in Omaha....good people and easy to do business with
09 Civic LX Coupe AT
by fitisgo on Tue Jul 07 13:21:39 PDT 2009
Last week I purchased a new 09 Civic coupe LX with auto trans from Williamson Honda in Lincoln, NE. The vehicle MSRP was $18,625 and selling price was $16,300. This price included Honda splash guards installed, which is worth about an extra $100. No documentation fee or other fees by the dealer. The only other costs are NE 7% sales tax and assorted property tax/fees assessed by the NE Dept of Motor Vehicles when I register it. Am highly satisfied with the vehicle, I also own two 08 Honda Fits, an 03 CR-V, and an 03 Civic sedan. I have bought 3 new Hondas from this dealer in the last 18 months. I am live in the Omaha, NE area and there are 3 Honda dealers in my vicinity. However, the dealer in Lincoln (60 miles away) is much better in terms of the buying experience and service after the sale. Williamson Honda - highly recommended!
Fit Sport Auto

I'm a now an owner of an '09 Fit Sport auto (no extras) which I purchased today. I worked with an internet sales manager at O'Daniel Honda in Omaha, NE. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar buying experience as mine. The salesman disclosed the printed invoice of the car, $16,979, and said that was his final price. He said he wasn't making any money on the deal and couldn't go any lower because they couldn't take a loss. It was about one hour before closing on a Saturday, and he was already giving me what I considered top dollar for a trade in '99 Chevy S-10 that needed some work. After asking for extras thrown in like floor mats or a cargo cover, he said that he couldn't take a loss, and he couldn't throw anything else in. I then said that I needed some time to think about the deal.....and then he walked away from me! Not to talk to a sales manager, he just walked away and asked that I have a good weekend. This is my first new car buying experience and in my internet research I've never heard of a salesman walking away from a buyer. I thought it was supposed to be the other way around. After taking some time to think through the offer, and the salesman checking on me, almost wanting me to leave, I told him I would accept (and it was below Edmunds listed invoice price anyway). Has anyone else had a salesman walk away on them? I do think I got a good deal given quotes from other dealers, but I'm not sure what to make of the experience.
Re: May09 Honda incentives ?? [fmichael]

Congrats on your 2nd! We're on kid #3 - currently in a Mazda 5 which we'll be keeping for my husband's work commuter. We just took our first road trip in the Mazda 5 - from Madison over to Omaha, NE and then to Wichita, KS! Iowa in an Odyssey should be a breeze for your family! ;) I did notice the reduced interior space in the EX-L but only by looking at the technical specs in the product guide. My salesman said it was also because of the sun roof taking up head room. I'm barely over 5' so it's not an issue for me. My husband and I have not gone in for a test drive yet. I have been gathering more info before we face the sharks again! It'll be more my car than his though he is just under 6' so he may or may not notice the leg room. I'll have to ask! I like the leather (my kids spill a lot and leave muddy footprints on the seat backs!), the heated seats and the power lift gate on the EX-L but I'm not fully decided yet between that and the EX. I haven't been using my real name or email for my quote inquiries. Do you want to ask your salesman at Schlossman if he can go any lower on the sale price of two Odysseys? I'm not ready to buy yet anyway and I want to see what the May incentives will be but I'd like to narrow down who's worth my time to work with.
