I personally don't care what the "market value" is of a used car; the question is: Does it make sense for me to buy it for that price? A used car or van with N miles for just a few thousand $ less than I can buy a new one for? One-year-old Accords for $1500 less, 3-year-old Odysseys for $4k less? That's crazy. Buy the silly thing new, enjoy the warranty and the peace of mind that comes with knowing it hasn't been abused. I agree that these are very well put-together automobiles, but they don't walk on water, and they generally are not worth the prices that they fetch used. A friend of mine bought a well-kept, 9-year-old Camry w/ 70k miles for $5k. That was a good price, as the market goes. Two years and $1600 in maintenance-type repairs later, he's not so sure it was a good idea... -Mathias in Mid-Michigan

Michigan dealers: by dmathews3 on Wed Nov 29 02:35:11 PST 2000; Stay away from the Lansing dealer, they are jerks. They will sell you what they want to sell you. No color choice and their service sucks. I drive 60 miles to Grand Rapids for all mine.
